Unfortunately working away at the moment, but sounds a great
game. Lots of goals. Hopefully some-one will do a report.
Would like to congratulate both set of players in taking part in
what was an unsanctioned game. Where there was no insurance and
the home club were unaffiliated.

It sounds as if both teams played their part in a thrilling
match in tribute to the late Ashford legend George Sergeant

So am I reading this right. The game went ahead with neither the
ref nor FI checking that there was insurance in Place. VBar had
not been consulted over the date of this match. And despite the
stories to the contrary, you are saying that AUFC have not yet
been officially accepted into the League, presumably because of
the club owners.
Am I close?

As I understand it you need to join(affiliate) to both SCEFL and
the FA each season. SCEFL has been joined as Utd are on the
website so tthat leaves the FA?

Aren't we due to play a FA cup tie vs Corinthian on the 6th
August. If the club wasn't affiliated to the FA would this
really happen?

Easier to assume that all is well, then give some team a bye if
that is proved to not be the case than to leave a team out who
should have been included.
Having said that, it does all seem a little weird, and I am
awaiting confirmation of what indeed is going on.

I think you will find that to be in the FA Vase, Cup and Youth
you need to enter around March/April of the previous season.

FI knew, but would assume their affiliation maybe offered them
some protection.
Word has it that VBar have said that proof of insurance is
required before any further games are played at VBar stadium.
This includes all teams, But will obviously have greater impact
on those being run by idiots.
