Hi Phil,
Many thanks for the match report. I am still recovering from
my bout of double pneumonia which saw me spend two weeks in the
William Harvey Hospital in late January. Not sure when I will
feel well enough to get to a game so I have to rely on match
reports and local media coverage. The latter comes in the form
of the KM and leaves much to to desired. It is either full of
guff or, as in this week's edition, ill judged comments from
Jason. He decided to launch an attack on Big George by
blaming him for all three goals conceded against Phoenix Sports.
He also tried to compare George's recent performances with
those of last season. What? Last season we were in a lower
league but with a much more settled and, dare one say, better
team and management set up. Maybe that is why we won the
league and the cup. No surprise then to see George replaced in
goal on Saturday but will he stay with us? I will continue to
support the club in any way that I can but this season will go
down in my records as "shambolic"
Best regards,
John.

Hi John,
Yes, the word at the ground on Saturday was that George had
definitely been 'dropped'. Fortunately, we have a very capable
stand-in in Aaron. Having said that, we seem to be conceding
goals for fun whoever is in goal. I can't put my finger on the
cause, but Aaron can't be blamed for any of the goals against
East Grinstead.
So six games left of the season. I totally get the idea that
everything is a building process, for next season, but it would
be reassuring to actually see some progress being made. There's
no doubt that there are some very good players in the squad, but
we need to start getting a few results soon.
Surely we can get something at Molesey, can't we ?!
With best regards,
Phil.
