3-1 was a bit harsh. 2-1 a much more accurate scoreline.

Thanks for the report Phil. I have been unable to watch the
lads since the Chipstead game due to health problems. They won
that game 3-1 as part of an unbeaten five match run.
Unfortunately, it would appear that several of that winning side
have since left the club. The local paper is full of club
plans to reach National League South within five years. Before
this can happen we must see some stability at Homelands. To use
over 70 players so far is crazy especially when added to the
managers, assistant manager and trainers who have come and gone
since August. What the club needs is to get away from the
current hire and fire profile that reflects badly on the
management. It will be interesting to see how the club uses
Gary Alexander. Will he take over as team manager in the close
season?

Hi John.
I'm sorry that you've been having health issues. Hope it's
nothing too serious, and that you'll soon be back in the saddle.
You're not wrong about the continuity issue, but the Club has
announced that Gary will take over as Manager for next season.
That means that the rest of this season is very much about him
getting his squad together. It's probably inevitable that he
will ship out a few more players, and bring others in, but he
will need to do that so that it's very much his team that he
starts with next season.
I take all the 'shooting for the Conference' talk with a pinch
of salt. It would be great, of course, but I will believe it
when I see it. History tells us that the league we are in is
pretty much our natural level.
Phil.
