       ---------------------------------------------------------
I checked the email i got from enemydown on the time they
accepted the open challenge i put out last week. 6:30! half an
hour before the match lol. First lesson of the day = cancel open
challenges if within 24 hours of match.

So this was very short notice, nebody even knew we were playing
until we were due to start the match. So we had little or no
preparation for this one. Not a position i like to be in, in
fact i hate not being prepared  Nevermind we gave it
       our best shot.

Defensively we were obviously lacking preparation and with only
1 defensive setup arranged fleetingly before the match (pretty
much the plan B defence - market defence) we had very little
choice. We could have done with plan A defence coz we didnt have
enough cover over by Bomb A (thats twice our opponents have
favoured attacking that bomb!?) and most of the time they had us
outnumbered there and planted. Individually we were also
struggling i dont think we were on form at all at this stage. We
tried to mix it up and swap positions had a couple of rushes.
Ultimately there was too much in their favour and with heavy
(our secret weapon) getting kicked from the server every other
round because of no packet flow we were always up against it.

       2 - 8 down at half time :(

Attacking we had much more fun. We used rush on B which worked a
charm for the first 3 rounds. 5 - 8. fourth round we went for a
fake B plant but they were up our noses at bomb B (countering
our rush B tactic) and took me and heavy out who were faking
(heavy prob got kicked again actually...) so we were doomed 3v5
and planting at A lol. Heavy pretty much sat out the rest of the
game bunnyhopping on and off the server (one type of
bunnyhopping the opponents wouldnt have minded!). So we tried a
few rushes through the market to the side street and behind them
which worked the first time before they twigged and re-arranged
       their defence.

       so it ended 7 - 13 ( 5 - 5 when attacking ... not bad)

Considering we were caught off guard by the short notice, we had
very few options tactically, we played poor in the first half
and heavy was in and out in and out.... we didnt fare too badly.
Our strongest play is definitley the rush on B attacking.

One thing im noticing when playing is the way our tactics are
influencing the opponents. It took these guys 3 rounds to react
to our rush B tactic. When we rushed throught the market we had
no opposition and hammered them, the next time we tried it theyd
plugged the gaps. The third time we tried it a nade landed at
our feet within seconds of the round starting took 3 of us out
       lol

This game is more than a shoot-em-up for me, its now a
intellectual duel. I play poker a LOT, and in poker one of the
most important aspects, if not the most important, is predicting
your opponents next play and catching them totally off guard. Im
actually beggining to like calling tactics, if i can use the
same stratergy as poker and apply it to this i think i can get
into the minds of our opponents and be able to reasonably
       predict them.

....and theres me thinking all i have to do is shoot the
       bastards!

On another note we've now played 2 of the top 3 clans in the S&D
       Hardcore ladder on Enemydown ( TC = 3rd, S(a)S = 2nd). Judging
by the results/perfomances so far, were not far off being near
the top of the ladder by a long shot.

       Onwards and upwards...

lol iam glad uve taken to the mind games,i genually believe too
that they make a huge diff.
if we can dictate the rounds so they are responding to our moves
we can stay one move ahead.
when we rush b 3 times, most likely what clans will do is first
time get raped, second add extra guy, third nade and rush.i think
this will be a typical pattern for most clan responses.

iam interested in your poker logic,i played poker a bit years
ago and u could control and read ur oponents{took money off
friends if that counts}.lol can we do a poker analogy of cod4 .
       eg, no limit holdem.

if we use players as players, the bomb plant as the flop, and the
action after bomb plant as the river card.

when i played holdem one of the aims for me was to reduce the
number of players before the flop so u would have best chance of
controling the flop and less chance of been scanked later on the
       river card.
this logic should work well in cod4 ,the more players we can
kill before the bomb planted the better chance of defending the
       bomb we have.
so what plays in poker would u do to reduce players before the
       flop.???
in poker its all about timing which u judge by reading ur
oponents and by following simple rules.ie u dont try and
bluff/buy the hand if ur the first guy after dealer ,but if ur
last guy to bet before flop raising it is always good option as
u can reduce the players or even bluff/buy it.

ummm how the fook can that be converted to cod4 ,...ahhh
maybe ,, say the first round is the first player after dealer
and any other rounds is next player.so round 5 is big blind for
       us.
so based on this crazy logic, round 1-3 we shouldnt rush,4 can do
and round 5 should always if possible.
this should work well because if u play the first 3 rounds when
attacking slow and just try to pick players off and get a
plant/kill the players.this way u will have played there
defensive and the rush should have impact and is essentially the
       equivlent of buying a hand.

is this just all crazyness that makes sense in my world.lol 8)

lol yeah the poker thingy bit overboard.

but basic prediction and influencing play can be achieved.

training, before we throw down the glove too all and sundrie. 2

Last night S(a)S played TC (the two clans weve played) and beat
then 31 - 9 and are now top of the hardcore ladder.

We wernt THAT far off S(a)S, even with 4 men! (mostly)
