       [Poem] The Faeries  [Illustrated by True Mortal]

       Wind rustled through shimmering leaves
       The sun started fading
       Sounds died and came to life
       ~
       It’s a well known fact that the faeries would come out to play
       at dusk.
       Dancing among twigs and flowers alike, they lit up the grass
       like candles.
       One could swear hearing them laugh and hear high voices linger
       in your mind.
       Joren was determined to see them that night. He waited all day
       for them.
       ‘They don’t exist!’ his parents kept telling him. He wouldn’t
       listen.
       He knew they were real. He just KNEW it.
       Dusk fell. The sun walked behind the hills surrounding his
       peaceful home.
       Almost floating, he made his way out to between the trees where
       he heard giggling laughter like water the night before.
       It shined.
       Creeping, he glanced in the dense branches.
       His face glowed.
