Top 3 Trailblazers in Knifing
By: DanteKO Date: January 4, 2014, 12:31 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys. A lot of people have been unsure, or may not even have
known what a Trailblazer is. So before I get started with this
countdown, I'm gonna list it right here for you.
Trailblazer(Pioneer): Inventor or innovator: a person or group
that is the first to do something or that leads in developing
something new
There have been few people that have ever started a new strategy
in knifing, but when they do, it can sometimes completely change
the small E-sport of knifing. New strategies mean new ways to
combat new styles, and that leads to so many different ways to
beat a certain person or many people in a Knife TDM.
The players on this list who have created new strategies haven't
been too recognized for what they created, and plenty of people
most likely use their style today, maybe even right now. So
enjoy.
#1. iBlok
Many people know iBlok as that quiet guy who you often see
dodging other players, in fact, kinda dodging all the time. In
the beginning of him creating the strategy, he often practiced,
juked good players, and was able to pull off nice dodges. As he
got better and began to sculpt his strategy, he began dodging
some of the best players in the game with basic patterns, and
could consistently dodge longer than anyone else in the game. He
was the first one to successfully create a strategy revolved
around only Dodging and is one of my greatest role models in
Knifing.
#2. Kingston
One of the coolest friends of mine, and the creator of a great
strategy, the Swiping-Strategy. As a knifer, Kingston used to
hate seeing a lot of try hards that were always being serious
about playing, and in fact began to not make much of an effort
knifing (No try). He eventually began to create a strategy in
which he would turn away from the opponent, and then turn back
and try to hit the opponent while spinning (i.e. like a pendulum
effect). Once Kingston began to hit much more accurately with
this strategy, it became a very hard strategy to go up against,
and many great players now use his strategy in order to throw
their opponent off their game.
#3. Puffin
Although many players consider it a "cheap" strategy, Puffin was
the first to play a super-defensive game which was designed to
put nearly every fight in his favor, and sought to make his
opponent as impatient as possible after 3 minutes of him
constantly grappling and staying back. His ground game on the
Classic platform was very awkward to go against as players were
never used to such a defensive style. For a long time, his
strategy was one of the hardest to combat against while he
played because there were very few ways to find a weak point in
his strategy besides going strongly offensive.
So I hope you enjoyed this nice little list. Pass me your
feedback and even if you want request a new countdown in the
comments such as top[number] [knifing topic].
have fun

Nice post, have you considered making a knifing wiki?
