       Raspberry Dewberry,
       Your beauty is appealing.
       Shakespeare sought your guidance,
       And others emulate the feeling.
       Raspberry Dewberry,
       Your poems sing songs.
       Your patterns are hypnotic,
       With syllables  all chanting along.
       Raspberry Dewberry,
       You drive me insane.
       You make me erase words,
       Scarring the paper in vain.
       Raspberry Dewberry,
       Why set rules for the hopeful?
       You make words seem like frames,
       Making this poem simply banal.
       Raspberry Dewberry,
       I need you no longer,
       I am learning that writing
       Is freedom of style.
