Looking for Roommates
By: MechaTailsMK1 Date: May 13, 2012, 10:53 pm

Looking for roommates: I have reserved 2 rooms at Sevierville's
Super 8 hotel. At the moment, I have 4 people + myself confirmed
for ASE 2012. The cost per person will be at $50 once we accept
a 6th member into the group, so I need at least 1 more member
join in the group. Payment is expected before 2 pm at the front
desk of the Super 8 on July 13 and must be in cash only, no
checks. Please contact me if you have any questions. You may
also contact me on Facebook
HTML http://www.facebook.com/#!/michael.charles.330.
Thank you,
Michael Charles aka 'MechaTailsMK1'

I've got to find out what's going on with our room situation
first but I'll get back to you as soon as I have the facts. How
much would the room be if you added four more people? And how
far away from the con center is the Super 8?

I've already have 5 people in my group and I've set the limit on
8. The Super 8 is 2 miles away from the convention and it is
one of the three hotels that is closer to the convention as it
is mentioned on the ASE site.

Four people per room? xD That's almost unheard of for me! I'm
used to no less than 6 people in my rooms. I can't leave my
other two groupies in the dust so I'll have to pass. Sorry!

Well, I know that certain hotels will not tolerate overcrowding
of the rooms. I've heard stories of groups that previously
attended other conventions that were caught over a hotel's
occupant limit per room, they were either fined and/or kicked
out. Anyway, sorry that I can't fit in your group with mine.

In all honesty, we NEED TO RESPECT the requirements of the
hotels that are graciously partnering with us. Having
over-crowded rooms (barring an emergency) is illegal in the
State of Tennessee (and many others) and we want you guys to
have a comfortable stay as well. :)
I have been in a few situations when this was the case and I
will NEVER do it again. This is just me but you are doing it
strictly at your own risk. We don't want anyone to lose their
room and cash because of going above the occupancy limit. These
are strictly enforced in the area from what I have heard as
well.
Thanks. Don't worry, we have a four (4) hotels to choose from
which are even as low as about $20 a night when you get 4 people
in a room that has the same occupancy limit.
Thanks,
Doug - Con Chair :)

For ASE we only have 4. As long as you keep your clean and cause
little noise, the hotels I've been to do nothing when events
like a con are going on. I'm not saying break the rules, just be
nice and don't leave the room a complete. One year my friend had
a room with one other person. They destroyed that room, just the
two of them.
Also, it's alright you can't fit us in. : ) No biggy at all. I
hope some other people can find a place to stay with you!
