My friend is entering a skit performance.... and also wanted to
enter the costume contest. The problem is... she wants to do a
different costume for the Costume Contest than what she's
wearing for the skit. Would she be able to do both and be able
to change between them? Also... is everyone performing their
skits on Saturday for "Cosplay/Masquerade Contest" for judging?
( not counting the rehearsal time slot ) Or are skits being
       judged all day?
Thank you for your time! :)

ya, i was wondering since for the cosplay contest you have to
sign up for a time panel for the judges to look at you, is the
masquerade/contest when we all show them off the everyone? the
answer, im guessing, is yes, but i was just making sure. also,
adding on to the previous comment, when are the skits? because
im the person Ikuto was talking about, and i really want to
       know!!!!!

The judging is just for the craftsmanship part. The masquerade
is when the skits will perform and the craftsmanship entries
will get to walk on and show off their costumes afterwards. The
skits are judged during their performance in the masquerade.
During setup, the cosplay staff will get with each skit and
check to see what audio cues are needed or if mics are needed.
As of right now, cosplay setup for both skits and the
craftsmanship walkons is at 6pm on Saturday. It will be required
that everyone for skits and walkons is there for the setup so
they can be lined up. I hope this helps.

I have another question... you guys are going to do a
mini-rehearsal for the skit performances right? When do we know
the rehearsal time for our skit before the actual performance?
Will we learn what time for the rehearsal when we check in at
the cosplay registration at the convention? This is the first
time me and my friend are doing a skit... so we are not sure how
these things work. I apologize for being clueless on this
       topic... :(

No you are fine. There is not a rehearsal for the skits.
However, during setup (Saturday at 6pm) you can tell us what is
needed for your skit performance audio wise. Other than that,
all we require is that if you bring props on stage that they
come off with you as well. You have 30 seconds to setup on stage
then 3 mins for the actual skit and 30 secs for breakdown of
props to be removed from the stage.

       Thank you so much! ;D
Just one more question and I will try not to bother you
       anymore....
In those 30 seconds after the performance... could we bow and
then take props offstage? Or does the bows count in our 3
minutes? ( though its not actually part of our performance.... )

Will someone be taping the skits so those of us that are waiting
       behind stage can see them?

that's fine if you want to take a quick bow before exiting the
       stage.
I'm not sure if the masquerade is being taped or not yet. You
might want to check with the media department on that.

Pre-registeration is now closed. If you didn't get to pre-reg,
no worries! We will be accepting registeration for cosplay at
the convention center Friday and Saturday until noon! See you
       there!

So, I don't know as of yet if they'll be changing the schedule
but for now it is still the same and this may be a problem. I
have a panel and then panel doesn't end until right when the
contest is supposed to start. Not when setup starts, but the
actual contest. I've brought this to Doug's attention but the
schedule hasn't changed yet. I don't really know what to do at
this point as I can't end my panel half an hour early to be
there for setup. I can only hope they change the schedule but in
the event they don't... What should I do?
