Introductions...
By: DrDougerz Date: January 25, 2012, 10:53 pm

This thread is dedicated to taking a moment and saying hi to all
in the group. When you're doing this, please do the following
stuffs...
[li]Tell us where you're from (we're promoting worldwide for our
little shin-dig :) )[/li]
[li]What is your favorite anime & manga[/li]
[li]What would you like to see at Anime SouthEast 2012 (not
guests but events, stuff to do, and the like)?[/li]
[li]Will this be your first anime convention?[/li]
For example, I'm Doug Trovinger (Dr. Dougerz) - the Convention
Chairman for ASE. This will be my first time running a
convention and it will be an honour to have everyone there to
join us :D. I am from Knoxville, Tennessee by the way - about
35 minutes from the convention.
My favorite anime is School Rumble and manga is Eyeshield21.
I would to see lots and lots of fellow otaku join us for a
super-awesome & jammed packed weekend in July. We're waiting for
you to come on down to Tennessee to join us for fun.
This will be my first anime convention as a convention chairman
but 9th one overall. The majority of the experience (working and
attending) has been with Tsubasacon in West Virginia.
Okay, you're turn. :D.

I'm from Georgia
My favorite anime is a tie between A Certain Magical Index,
Shugo Chara, and Neuro.
My favorite manga is (another) tie between La Corda D'Oro and
+Anima.
I would like to see a costume contest at Anime SouthEast. That
would be fun! :3
I have no idea how many anime conventions I've been to. I know
Momo Con 2006 was my first con. :)

Hello~
I'm from Tennessee and I live maybe about 50 minutes away from
this con! :D
Let's see... Favorite anime and manga... Hmm that one is hard
considering I've watched thousands of animes. D:
Ok well maybe not thousand but a lot lol. But my favorite anime
would have to be Naruto Shippuden because I've been watching
Naruto since it first came out so I've kinda grew up watching it
lol. And my favorite manga would have to be kaichou wa
maid-sama, that manga is just so cute and romantic and even
funny. I love it!
Ok I would love to see at this con stuff like: flea markets,
tons of games, and lots of cosplay! :D
And lastly this will be my first convention ever. So if your
filming or taking pictures and in the background you see a girl
flipping out doing back flips. Don't worry I'm just being happy
to be there lol.
Well that's my story! :D

Ah, excellent, I was wondering when a topic like this would show
up! =3
I'm Travis Tackett, but you can call me whatever you want - you
can't miss me, I'm giant =P I too am from Knoxville, Tennessee -
fun fact: Myself, Doug, and a couple of the other staffies all
work at the same store!
My favorite Anime of the moment is probably either Fullmetal
Alchemist: Brotherhood or FLCL. My favorite anime of all time,
of course, is Dragon Ball - for all its flaws, it can be
credited with the beginning of the anime revolution in America,
and the kickstarter of the entire Shounen genre in Japan. I
don't actually read a lot of manga, but the original Yu Yu
Hakusho manga was really great, even though the anime did the
ending far better.
What would I like to see at the con? Honestly, I just want to
see everyone having a good time - that would make me happy. But
definitely expect to see me at the rave, karaoke, and hanging
around the amazing Game Room we have planned ^.^ I suppose if I
had to suggest a panel, I think a live rap-battle session (18+
O_o) with some friends of mine would be a great, and hilarious,
event =D
This is my first anime convention as staff, and by the time it
comes around it will have been my third convention attended -
I'll be hitting up MTAC in April. My first convention ever was
Tsubasacon with Doug, Blake, and some other staffies, and it's
actually how I ended up getting involved in this little project!
=D

Whats up, denizens of the internets? I'm Jared, aka Reon, and
I'll be in charge of either Programming or the Vendors Room this
year. Not entirely sure which one yet since the Doctor needs to
clarify lol. I hail from land of Cincinnati, Ohio where things
are awesome but sometimes not. Anime Southeast is FAR from my
first convention, but I intend to do everything in my power to
make it EPIC!
Favorite anime and manga? Fairy Tail is definately a HUGE one
right now, being my shonen of choice, and all around great
series (viva la Hiro Mashima!) Some other stuff: Trigun,
Irresponcible Captain Tylor, Soul Eater, Welcome to the NHK,
Excel Saga, Eden of the East, Super Mario Bros Super Show,
Future Diary, Monster Hunter (a side venture of Mashima), Fairy
Tail, and some other stuff. The classics. As for what I want to
see at the con, I want some loving for the
not-quite-anime-but-still-Japanese media known as
Tokusatsu...you know, the stuff that gave us Power Rangers and
Kamen Rider. Also, the addict in me needs his card game fix, so
bring on the Yugioh/Pokemon/Cardfight Vanguard!

I love these topics!
Hello everyone~! I'm Callie, but I mostly get called Kitsune.
Foxes are my favorite animals. I live in Kentucky but I am
extremely jealous of DrDougerz and Travis for living in
Knoxville because I am a HUUUUUUGE, and I mean, HUUUUUUUUUUGE
Tennessee Volunteers fan. So, don't be surprised if I roll up
to the con sporting my orange. :D
My favorite anime is Ouran High School Host Club. <3 Hunny is
my favorite character. My favorite manga is Vampire Knight and
I have to say that Kaname is my favorite character from that
series.
I'd mostly love to see a lot of cosplay involvement at Anime
SouthEast. I've made so many friends cosplaying and I'd
probably have to say that cosplaying is my favorite part of
conventions.
Anime SouthEast isn't my first con. I've been to OMGcon and
Sugoicon and am trying to broaden my horizons. I love the
Gatlinburg/Sevierville area and am super glad to get to add ASE
to my list of cons this summer!
And that's all for me! ^^

[li]I'm Tani - Tanibelle is just my pen name EVERYWHERE srsly
check Gaia and Maplestor-...>>[/li]
[li] I'm 21 years old & lives in Sevierville, TN (2 mins from
the convention center, seriously) [/li]
[li]My favorite anime will always be FMA & FMA:B because I've
been infatuated since I was a wee little teenager so it's a deep
love. I will be honest and don't read much manga anymore, the
last one I read that I was in love with was probably Loveless or
xXxHolic or perhaps Ai Yori Aoshi.[/li]
[li] The Formal Ball, The Raves, The Cosplayers, The Karaoke,
The Dealer's Room <3, & The PEOPLE! Also I'd love to see
interesting 18+ panels.[/li]
[li]Nuh uh. My first con was Kawaii Kon '06 ;)[/li]

Hey there everyone. My name is Julian. I'll be one of the DJ's
coming down to play for the raves :)
I'm 22 and I live in Columbus Ohio.
I don't know what I would consider my favorite anime but amongst
my favorites would be Clannad, Air, Kanon, Ouran Host Club. FMA,
Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Death Note, Gantz, Chrono Crusade,
and Last Exile.
Ohayocon 2009 was my very first convention and since then I just
wound up going to all the conventions in my general area. ASE
will be my 20th or so convention I have gone to and the 9th
convention I will have DJ'd at.
As for what I would love to see; I would love to see some panels
that are actually thought provoking. I remember a panel back in
2009 at Matsuricon I think called The Psychology of Fandom and
it was probably til this day one of the most interesting panels
I have gone to. I would also love to see some awesome 18+ panels
;D
