If streaming is available, the live action Ouran HSHC is

Don't show anything that has been on tv already. Try to go with
shows that are brand new or are shows that are not likely to
have been seen by a lot of people.

I love the idea of showing OHSHC in live action ( great series.
i loved some of their changes! especially that the Black Mage
Club had more scenes. :D wish it was longer though ). I hope
they have streaming, but I highly doubt it. :(

so are you guys getting the rights to these animes you are
showing? I am extremely against piracy, illegal
downloads/uploads/videos, they are devastating the Anime
Industry. this is just something that was really concerning to
me.

They need permission to show the videos, they don't need rights
unless they id for access to the video rooms. They are charging
us for access to the dealer's room, panels and events. They
would have to pay royalties if they restricted access to the
video rooms.

Screening rights are same as permissions. They are hard to get
because I have tried to get them for events for my school's
anime club. They might not specifically charge for the viewing
room but is it not still a public showing? Pretty sure
permissions are required outside of the home.

Sights like zomg upload anime illegally, that's why companies
like funimation claim infringement and they get taken
down....sub or dub. So its definately illegal if th :Pe veiwng
room will be using sites like these.

You are correct about licensing for showings of anime. Beyond
avoiding illegally downloaded shows, it is often the case that
simply purchasing the DVD or Blu-ray does not grant you the
license to "distribute" the anime, whether it be by showing it
on a big screen or making copies.
Have no fear, the group that runs this convention has run
multiple other conventions, some of which have been in existence
for years. They know what they are doing.
Also, Congirl, you may, at your leisure, make one post with
multiple paragraphs to save you the hassle of having to post
repeatedly, if you desire.
