Hearing Ghost falling down, Ally skidded to a halt. She then
padded back to where the tom was, and prodded him with a
forepaw. "Hello?" she dropped the vial next to him, worry
beginning to cloud her eyes.

Ghost opened one of his eyes partially, before touching the vial
with some effort. The liquid glowed with his touch, then moved
itself back onto his neck. With a soft groan, he staggered
upright. [B]"Do... n't run... off with the vial."[/b] he hissed
between winced pants.

Ally sighed in relief as Ghost showed a bit of movement. "What's
so special about it?" she asked, eyeing the vial, though she did
not dare touching it again.

Ghost started slightly, then sighed. [B]"No use hiding the truth
anymore,"[/b] he muttered softly. [B]"That vial is both life and
death for me. Both literal and metaphorical. But it may be too
complicated to explain completely, and would take some time..
but I guess you never learned of my past, have you? We only met
for a brief time, after all.."

Ally nodded. "I've always been curious," she said, looking
straight into Ghost's eyes. "You're so different from the
average cat." she said, staring at the tom's green stripes and
eyes; one black, and white the other. "You must have a
complicated past," she whispered, soft yet clearly.

Ghost folded his paws neatly as he laid down in the snow. He
didn't feel the cold. [B]"Well, I guess here goes nothing,"[/b]
he looked at Ally with serious eyes. [B]"I started life
normally. I used to be known as Birch, a Kittypet who lived with
my family; my father, Saunter, was a loner who'd fallen in love
with my mother, Lavender. My dad was adopted by our owners, and
they littered three kittens; me, my sister, Charloette, and
Nico, my brother. But, when we were five moons old, our owners
moved away. They couldn't take us with them, so we were left
behind. But it wasn't all that bad. We fled to a peaceful river
valley nearby, and learned from our father how to survive there.
Life was peaceful."

Hatsune was walking along a path, when she heard two voices. As
she turns the corner, she spots two cats talking to each other.
She cocked her head. They seemed deep in talk, and she didn't
wanna interrupt.

Ghost narrowed his eyes. [B]"That peace was shattered quickly.
One day, while out hunting, weird men came. They wore suits.
They didn't hesitate, they just moved. They captured us and
brought us to a lab. They did experiments on us, and injected
us-"[/b] he cupped the vial in his paw. [B]"-with this same blue
liquid. It was a virus. They were going to use it for some sort
of war effort. The virus's original function was to kill its
host, and it could be sped up or slowed down. But it was a time
bomb. We were set to die at the end of the week. But they wanted
to run one last test. They exposed us to varying levels of
radiation."[/b]
Meanwhile, Ashennightmares was walking nearby. The cat heard
bits and pieces of conversation, but he didn't want to interrupt
their conversation. While he was distracted, though, he ended up
running into- and tripping- over Hatsune.

Ally gasped in shocked, not noticing the strangers. "And what
happened?"
