[GUIDE] Skin Mods

-Re-Posted this here, since we'll probably only use this forum
after the Game Mode changes-
A guide to help you add skin mods using IMGTool 2.0
This works with any kind of skin mods, - Cars, skins and
weapons.
Download:
First, to start off. You need the IMGTool, obviously.
Click on this link to download it ->
HTML http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/f552-img-tool-2-0
Accessing the IMGTool:
After you have downloaded and installed it, open the IMGTool,
Click on File, and then click on Open (ctrl + L),
Then you need to open gta3.img from it.
gta3.img is located in your original GTA SA directory in the
file named 'model'.
After you open gta3.img you'll be able to access the IMGTool.
Using the IMGTool:
Replacing skins(Adding skin mods):
To Replace/backup skins you need to click on edit, and find (F2)
to search for the skin you want to replace/backup.
You will have to find (F2) the skins using the model names, for
example.
The skin I always use, ID 19's model name is bmydj, as listed in
the wiki, You can check the skin model names at the SAMP wiki ->
HTML http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Skins:All.
A skin/skin mod will have 2 files, .txd and .dff (example):
bmydj.txd and bmydj.dff
If you want to replace that skin with a certain skin
mod,(example): you have to find (F2) bmydj.txd, right click on
it and click on "Replace", same thing for bmydj.dff
After you replaced both files, click on "Commands", and "Rebuild
Archive" to INSTALL the skin mods.
After you've done this, close IMGTool and you'll be able to use
your skin-mods in-game.
Backing-up a skin(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED):
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you backup the skins you're replacing
first, if you don't backup the skin, it'll be lost forever.
you'll have to reinstall GTA SA to get it back.
To backup a skin, find (F2) the specific skin's .txd and .dff,
right click on them and click on "Extract".
Extract them into a specific folder (I extracted them into a
"GTA Mod Backups" folder which I created.)
One last thing, don't try to replace skin mods if you have your
GTA SA client open.
Or you will start recieving errors and IMGTool won't allow you
to replace skins.

You might want to update to Alci's IMG editor or IMG Manager, it
allows you to bulk upload files to your GTA3.img so you don't
have to apply each mod one by one.
Nice guide though. ;)
