       Women are not able to vote or hold office by law.  Free women
       are able to inherit, buy and sell property. Just as with men at
       this time, the only way women can buy property is to be able to
       pay in full for it. The Land Office doesn’t differentiate
       between selling to free men and women. Whoever has the money is
       able to purchase the land.
