Re: Offering of Alms Bowl to Lp Sopha ,medicine offerings &

Dear brother / Sister
, may I kindly ask for your help to inform everyone who has
generously joined in making merit that we have moved the
offering from March 27 to tomorrow, March 11.
Out of concern for Luang Por Sopa’s health, we felt it would be
best to bring all the offerings earlier. Therefore, the alms
bowl and all the requisites that everyone contributed toward
will be offered on March 11 instead.
If tomorrow Luang Por Sopa kindly allows us to organize a
merit-making ceremony for the 6th anniversary of Novice
Uthumphon’s ordination on March 27, then we will make another
trip to visit him again. On that day, we will keep it simple by
arranging only two charity food offerings — a noodle stall and a
fresh coffee stall — and we will also prepare three sets of
Sanghadāna consisting of medicines and daily necessities
for the Sangha.
Please help convey our sincere gratitude and respect to everyone
who has joined in this act of merit. Kindly let them know that
all the offerings made possible by their generosity will now be
presented on March 11. May everyone rejoice in this wholesome
merit together and receive the blessings of these good deeds.
🙏✨

Dhamma sermon by
หลวงพ่อโส&
#3616;า
สมโณ
on the Buddhist observance day (Uposatha) of 11 March 2026.
“Tonight is the observance day. I am very tired because of my
leaking heart valve illness, but I still endure and come to give
this Dhamma teaching to everyone.
Nowadays, the monastic community and the Buddhist world are
beginning to lose their way. There are many teachings and words
about the Dhamma, but people are not truly committed to
practicing and honoring the Buddha through practice.
At our temple, I led the construction of a chedi so that it can
be a place for practicing Dhamma throughout the whole night on
observance days. We have been sitting in meditation together
there all night on every observance day.
Even though I am exhausted from illness, I continue to endure
and do this for the benefit of others, teaching the correct path
so that all of you can come to practice meditation regularly on
every observance night. I push my body beyond its limits for the
sake of everyone.
The greatest merit we can make is the merit from chanting,
paying homage to the Buddha, observing moral precepts, and
practicing meditation. This is the highest form of merit in
Buddhism.
On every observance day, I lead meditation throughout the entire
night until dawn of the next day. At the same time, there is
still a lot of construction work at the temple, but we do not
give up. We continue doing this every observance day. We must
meditate all night and make it a habit.
Do not practice inconsistently. Do not practice for a while and
then stop when you feel bored. Practicing like that will not
lead to spiritual progress.
Especially for monks and nuns, walking meditation is extremely
important. Many Buddhists are lazy when it comes to walking
meditation or sitting meditation, yet they are very diligent
when it comes to worldly duties and work.
Instead, we should cultivate discipline and create the habit of
setting aside time for meditation so that our minds can
experience peace and happiness.
No matter how well we take care of the body, it will eventually
die. But if the mind accumulates merit, develops discipline, and
is purified and refined, it will experience a happiness far
greater than physical pleasure.
The work of cultivating the mind through meditation is the most
important work for monks and for Buddhists. If we lack
discipline in sitting meditation and walking meditation, it
means we are neglecting our own duty and going against the
intention of the Buddha’s teachings.
Therefore, what is most important is that all of you should be
diligent and disciplined in fulfilling your duties properly. Do
not be lazy. Maintain consistency in your practice.
Neglecting our duties or failing to cultivate the habits of a
true Buddhist is a form of great heedlessness.”
