As I snuggle with my son I listen to what he says, running my
fingers lightly through his hair. As old as he is, he's never
gotten apathetic about spankings. "I'm sure," I reply about not
being harder on Chris with a smile. "I know it might seem like
it," I acknowledge. "But remember, each student is different,
and each situation is different. If I truly were being harder on
you than anyone else, you and Chance would have different
punishments, and your spanking would be over the PA system this
time as an example," I point out.
When Chris says it would be humiliating, though, I do take that
seriously. "Do you think so, Buddy?" I ask, gently. "Not just
for you, but generally?" I want to be tough on this, but not to
emotionally damage any children. I also realize that each
student may be affected by that differently, and that he can
really only speak for himself.

I bite on my lip when momma says that if she was being hard on
me that it would be over the PA system as an example. I nod my
head after she says that. "But its not right, and im good, I
mean I still get paddled, but its not on the Pa."
"I think so definitely. I'm sure if you ask Chance, he'd say the
same thing." I say with a sigh. "I mean no one wants to hear a
spanking over the PA, especially knowing that there friend or
something is getting it." I bite on my lip again.

I give my son a squeeze as he verifies that the spanking won't
be over the PA system and kiss the side of his head. "No, baby.
You'll read the apology letter over the PA but your paddling
will just be between you and me. I promise."
Chris makes a good point about my idea to paddle over the PA
system and I nod. Quietly I reply, "well, that's a good point,
Baby. So I'll think about that some more, and maybe rather than
announce it as a blanket statement, just approach it between me
and the student and their parents if a situation arises."

I look up at my mom when she says that I read the letter and
then get paddled, but the paddling is in private. I nod a little
bit. This was horrible. I mean I dug my own grave kinda, but
this was still horrible.
"Okay, I mean that would be a good option right, I mean I don't
think you want anyone saying your like horrible, cause well I
don't want that to happen either. cause then I'd get in trouble
for fighting."

"Yeahhhh, we wouldn't want that, Sweetheart," I chuckle a
little.
After a moment I sigh, letting the breath out slowly. "Well,
okay. It's getting late. So two choices. We can go ahead and get
this spanking out of the way tonight, or we can just snuggle
tonight and take care of your spanking tomorrow." I pause and
then add, "oh, by the way, you are grounded for the weekend.
Just in case that part wasn't clear." I know this is hard on my
son, and I don't want to make it any harder than it needs to be.
But right now I don't know whether he needs my comfort more or
to have the spanking overwith more. Of course, no matter when
the spanking takes place there will be after care. It's just a
matter of what Chris needs right here in this moment.

I nod a little bit when mom said they wouldn't want that. She
then says its getting late and there are two choices. Get the
spanking over with, or snuggle and get it tomorrow. Waiting was
going to be the hardest part. So I look at her. "I I think I'd
rather get it over with tonight please." I say softly. I hated
it either way. But I hated waiting more.

"Thought so," I reply quietly. "Alright, get on up. I'm going to
get the paddle and then I'll be back." I wait for my son's
confirmation and for him to get up out of my lap so I can get
up, too.

She tells me to get on up, that she was gonna get the paddle. I
sigh a little bit and slowly rise up and stand. "I love you
momma." I say softly and just kinda sit back down on my bed to
wait for her to get the paddle.

"I love you, too, Baby," I answer quietly, giving my son's hand
another squeeze. "I'll be right back."
It doesn't take very long for me to go to my office to get the
paddle and head back down the hall and into Chris' room again.
It's just us at home and so I don't bother to shut the door.
"Okay, Christopher. Stand up and get your pajamas and underwear
down, please," I tell him as I cross the room and sit on his bed
again.

She says she will be back, and I nod. I sit on my bed, dreading
this paddling but knowing I kind of earned it. I suck in a
breath and just kind of hold it for a moment.
Once momma arrives back she has the dreaded paddle. I stand
slowly and pull down my pajama bottoms, then follow with my
underwear.
