On Holidays

Hi from very warm Phuket! I'm having a couple of weeks here with
my sister. Our hotel, although small, is very comfy, and
although only a 5 minute walk from the main shopping are, is
very quiet.
We are not doing any tours this visit - having been coming here
for nearly 20 years, have done most of the tours, and neither of
us are into the Bungay jumping, white water rafting, jungle
trekking, etc. so we are spending our days walking, shopping,
walking, resting, walking, eating, walking, swimming in the
rooftop pool, etc. Today we took a taxi to another beach area
and walked for an hour and a half before stopping for lunch.
Just wanted to check the area out as it is one of the areas we
are thinking of renting a house in for 3 months next year.
I brought some craft with me - a small beaded cross stitch - the
last stocking for the grand children's tree ornaments this year
- can't believe I am so organised with them this year; and 2
booklets of 3D Christmas pictures. I thought I'd make some of
them and when I get home I can just attach them to cards. The
light in the room isn't strong enough to work by though, so I
had to buy a desk lamp and a power outlet board. Not a waste of
money though, as I can use them next year when we come up.
However, haven't had much inclination to do any of it! Instead,
I've been downloading free files for the Cameo, and sorting my
machine embroidery files on my laptop. Still craft related...!
:D

I used to sew on holiday but found my hands were too hot! Last
month I just took my Kindle and iPad. Relax and enjoy your
holiday and hope you find somewhere nice to return to next year.
