My husband has been ill for over a week, he has lost 17lbs and
we thought it was a chest infection or worse. He was really
poorly again overnight after seeming to rally last night so I
managed to be assertive and get an appointment. He actually has
Pneumonia, so needed a different anti biotic, so hopefully will
improve now. Quite a relief that it isn't any more serious,
although Pneumonia is bad enough. Needless to say I am still
busy trying to get him to eat and drink and up and downstairs
all day, but want him better.will craft when get time and
energy!

What a nightmare for you both.
I am glad that the problems have now been diagnosed and are
being treated. Hope he recovers quickly.
Take care while looking after him and make sure you do keep just
a little bit of time for yourself, or you will end up being ill
too, and we don't want that!!!
Big hugs.

Dave had pneumonia a couple of years ago and I have never seen
him so ill. He also lost a lot of weight and it took him a long
time to get over it. Hope he is soon feeling better now that he
is on the right tablets.

Thanks everyone, I am eating OK just tired and can't be bothered
to do much other than what is needed! Heavy rain late this
morning and although it has dried up the garden is too wet to go
out and weed so will leave it! It is humid so that weeds will be
twice as big tomorrow! I told Ian it will take a while for him
to recover and he needs to take things slowly, but as he is
never ill he wants to get up and do things and then he realises
he is too weak! Men never listen!

Oh, Joan! I hope the antibiotics kick in quickly and he picks up
soon. You need to take care of you too - even if it's just a bit
of time out for a read or 40 winks! Try not to run yourself into
the ground.
We've had a lot of wet days here in the last few weeks - can't
see the garden or lawn for the weeds! I ended up getting
weed'n'feed for the lawns. Will have to pull the weeds when I
get back from my holiday - have been under the weather myself
this past week and trying to shake it off before I fly out
Friday.

Thanks everyone. Other people say that too Jeana that Pneumonia
is something they never want again as they feel so useless.
Enjoy your holiday Raelene, where are you off to? i can't
believe we were away only a few weeks ago, I need another
holiday! We had lots of torrential rain yesterday and the pond
is nearly full to overflowing but I will need to do it by hand
as I couldn't get the pump working last week. Checked the plug
and electricity is going to pump but it is doing nothing! I had
a struggle as each bucket I lifted had little tadpoles in and i
couldn't throw them down the drain! We sometimes see one frog
but guess it found a mate! I asked Ian for suggestions what to
do but he couldn't take it in! He certainly isn't up to going
out so I will just get on with it and keep quiet!

You poor thing, Joan. Is there no-one close by to give you a
hand?
Do you have a piece of fine netting - sieve the taddies and
return them to the pond?
I'm off to Phuket with my sister Cheryl for 12 days. While there
I'll be looking at nearby areas to see where we might like to
rent a villa for 3 months next year when we retire.
Chin up, Joan. My thoughts are with you.
Raelene
