       Gummy!
By: Joan Date: May 16, 2014, 2:46 pm

Not what you want when you are flying in a few hours but I
finally had the remains of my broken tooth removed today. I had
checked up after 8 weeks and was told to wait as appointments
for surgery can take up to 13 weeks. So I called in at the
dentist on Tuesday and they had no record of my referral but the
dentist was new and as he was on leave and not back until today
there was nothing I could do after phoning the hospital and
being told they had received nothing. I had expected a call so
waited and left a message. When I queried if the pain could get
worse with flying the dentist asked me to go down although it
was nearly 5pm so he could check if I needed antibiotics. He
said the roots was showing, reason I was getting pain, so he
could remove it and I wouldn't need surgery. The injection
didn't kill the pain so I needed more during the extraction
which was still painful! What a job he had! But eventually he
removed the root. I had then to race to the surgery as the
nearest chemist had closed and as We leave very early tomorrow I
knew I needed to get the prescription tonight.
I just hope I can get some sleep tonight and feel better
tomorrow! Guess I will be eating soft food for a few days.

Oh what a nightmare and it sounds VERY painful.
I hope this means the end of your problems now and that you can
get on with painfree life again in the near future.
Soft foods though..... might have to stick to things like Ice
       Cream, Caviar, Foie Gras, ..........

LOL! Nette. i have to avoid very cold or very hot! The anti
biotics, should help, my jaw is still sore, but he did have a
struggle. A friend gave me Reiki and I think that helped me get
some sleep, felt very exhausted last night, but had a lovely
meal of grilled sea bass, and Tiramisu! No wine but Pharmacist
said the odd glass shouldn't hurt me! Taking things easy today,
a bit dull, had a short walk and then sat on balcony and read .

Joan, the dentist could be telling you porkies - sort of.
Please don't drink while taking antibiotics. The combination
does not cause harm, BUT the alcohol stops the antibiotics
working. So if you are going to drink no point in taking them.
       Have a good time away:)))))

Survived holiday and mouth is healing nicely. Have to decide if
I want to go back to the dentist as he suggested a plate on the
side I had the tooth out as I have a big gap, guess it cause my
face to sink in! Why do teeth cause problems from getting baby
       teeth until you are old?
