Red Face?????

About 5 months ago, by beloved 2tb external died:((((( This
lovely disk was the repository of all my sheets, all my photos,
movies and almost everything else.
A chap at work offered to look at it, but a couple of weeks ago
I arranged to pick it up and he had not even opened the
packaging I had left it in.
So, this weekend I took it with me when visiting my sister as
she had found a company nearby that had helped her out a few
times.
I picked it up this morning and it is all working again and I am
soooooooooo happy. Not even the most tiny file is missing:)))
Why the red face???
There was never anything wrong with the drive at all, it just
needed a new power cable!!!!!

Simple problem! If the power cable has a fault you can't check
it. Glad it wasn't too expensive a problem and you have got
everything back.

Actually I have several power cables that I know are
interchangeable and I had tried it with another one that had
worked previously and it did not work.... well, I thought it
hadn't........
