       The Donati Series
By: Shaxee Date: March 18, 2016, 3:36 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
A six foot, blue eyed Italian devil named Marco Donati was known
for his scandalous affairs and his reputation in bed by his
       former mistresses.
The gorgeous Italian billionaire was horrified when he found
out that he couldn't take over his father's companies unless he
       got married.
And what did he do? He chose a random woman to be is bride to
be and that woman is named Ophelia, the sharp-tongued Greek
       Heiress.
Determined to take over his father companies, Marco requests
Ophelia to come to Italy and vows to win her heart, so he can
quickly marry her and take over his father companies.
It seems like it will take more then red roses, diamond earrings
and extravagant dates to woo over the blonde Greek Heiress.
Maybe there is more to the Greek Heiress then a rich, spoilt
       girl with a sharp-tongue.
The Italian devil just met his match.
       The Retirement
       Marco Donati's POV
"Come again?" The toast that was hanging from my mouth nearly
dropped back onto my plate as I asked my father to repeat his
statement. I think I misheard the old man or I just have an
       attention span of a goldfish.
"I am retiring and I want you to take over the companies." My
father repeated as he drank his tea. "My expire date is way
       over-due."
Silence filled the dinning room as I narrowed my eye-brows at my
father. I have to admit, for a sixty-eight year old, he's
looking pretty good. He still has some age-lines here and there
but some people even might mistake him as forty.
I placed my toast that was hanging from my mouth just a few
seconds ago back down to my plate which was half bitten. "Nice
one, old man. You really fooled me there." I laughed.
My father frowned showing his forehead lines. "I am not joking,
son. When do I ever joke?"
I snorted in agreement. My father rarely even cracked a joke,
you know, those lame jokes the Dad's think their funny, but they
are not making the children cringe in embarrassment. My father
was the complete opposite of that and no, he isn't one of those
grumpy father's. He just doesn't joke around.
"So, I am taking over your companies?" I asked, making sure this
wasn't some set up for all the 'is that a grey hair?' jokes or
the 'you're getting old' jokes. Because karma is a bitch.
       My father nodded. "Yes."
A slow grin appeared on my face. I am taking over my father's
       companies.
Didn't hear that? I am taking over my father's companies.
I had a sudden urge to fist bump in the air like a teenager.
"When will you announce this to the media?" I asked him, still
       unable to hide my grin.
"Soon, maybe next week." He shrugs.
"And when do I get started?" Soon as possible I hope.
This time a grin appeared on my father's face. "When you find a
       bride."
Silence filled the dining room once again. I let out a nervous
laugh, unable to decide if this was a joke or not. A bride? He
can't be seriously. Actually, it's my father he won't crack up
one joke. Of course he's fucking serious!
"I don't need to find a bride." I commented angrily.
He chuckles as he takes a bit out of his perfectly poached eggs.
       "And why is that?"
       "Because I don't!" I almost shout.
"Marco, don't you get tired of bedding all those women? Wouldn't
you like to settle down and have kids of your own? I'm sure your
mother would like that very much."
I knew where this was going, he wanted me to stop bringing more
mistresses into my bed, he wanted me stop having my affairs. He
was afraid that if I continued 'messing' around with women the
companies will close down or worse be taking over by somebody
       else.
"Father, I am not finding of bride end of story." I snapped,
bitting harshly into my toast. Me finding a bride? What complete
       bull shit!
"My son, I was like you once. Having blinded affairs with the
best models and actresses and having mistresses at my beck and
call, but I realised that having affairs and mistresses in my
bed couldn't fill me up completely.
When I found your mother she filled me up and made my whole life
completely. Then I dragged her to the alter and we got married."
My father grinned, like he was picturing the old days when he
       met my mother.
"Is there a point to this story?" I asked flatly. I heard my
mother and father say this story too many times. It was the same
old "I hate you!" "I love you!" and so on.
"The point is that you need to find the right woman."
       I snorted with laughter.
"All woman I have met are gold-diggers who are just in for my
money not my heart. Plus, there are thousands of beautiful women
begging to have me, why stick with one?"
I had many flings with women, it didn't matter if they were
married or not. As long as they were worth my time I had them,
then I threw them to the side because they wanted more then sex.
Money they wanted. So I decided to go with mistresses and after
mistress after mistress they were just not worth my time
anymore. But that didn't stop me going through mistresses.
It was a week ago that I dumped my former mistress. Strangest
woman I have ever met and begged me to sing Disney songs every
       time we...Well you know.
"Father, please face the fact that I am never going to settle
down and I am never going to stop my flings and mistresses.
Forget about this matter, you're making my egg yolk go hard." I
stated as I took one bite of my now cold egg.
"Then forget taking over the companies then."
       He wouldn't...
I was his only available heir, since the my other siblings
decided that taking over our father's companies wasn't worth
       their time.
I was the only one that could take over the companies without
fucking up! He wouldn't just not give me the companies just
       because I won't find a bride!
He would rather die than close down the companies or give it
away to someone who wasn't his heir. The old man is bluffing.
       He had to be bluffing.
"You're joking, you wouldn't do that. I am your only heir you
have left. Those two have already bailed on you."
I tried to convince him, but it turns out I was only trying to
convince myself that he was only pulling my leg.
"Your cousins, they can always take over. They not be a Donati
per say, but we do share the same blood though." The old man
       smirks wickedly.
He isn't joking, he's deadly serious. "If I find a bride, you
       will let me take over?"
My father continues to smirk. "Yes."
I groan and run my hands through my short hair. "Fine, I will
find a bride, but as soon as we get married you have to promise
that I get the companies straight away, I just have to marry
       her."
My father had a thoughtful face, like he was reluctent. "Fine, I
       agree to your terms."
I grinned happily. "Now, who can I find to be my bride?" I ask
       myself.
My father hands me a large book. "This book contains all my
clients and friends who have daughters, you can chose from
       there."
I open the large book the old man gave me, my eyes search for a
random name. "I chose Ophelia Kokinos." I announce, boredly.
The old man smiles. "A very wise choice, son."
My eye-brows raise up at him. What was the old man up to this
       time?
