chuckled, most people thought it was hell of a lot weird to be
honest. You were so beautiful though. (gissar de åker i bilen
nu) ”Who would have an idea? I mean a lot of people claiming to
talk to dead people are just hoaxes, you know? Frauds, so it is
hard to seem credible,” I shrugged.
”Yeah tough is an understatement really, have you ever felt cold
when going into a room? Heard noises in your apartment you can’t
explain? Well that’s them not all the time but yeah, it’s them
trying to contact us, not to creepy you out but Daniel mentioned
he’s been to check in on you a few times, not anything like
weird, just after work or so… maybe you’ve sometimes felt that?
He’s tried to reach you a couple of times, just takes them a lot
of energy to do it,” I didn’t want this to be the stuff we
talked about really. This was just me and my weird gift from
hell, I wanted to get to know you actually.

"Ally says..." I bebreathed out as I sat down behind the wheel.
"Right, of course Ally said..." I breathed out some. I watched
you then, and I swallowed some as I drove off.
"Leave what be?" I asked then.
"I mean... Honestly.." I stated with a sigh. "A little bit,
yeah" I stated with a sigh. "I dont' want ot be rude, but it's
just... new to me" I stated then. "I guess... I mean, I had no
idea, you know?" Ia sked as I sighed some and I bit my lip some
even as I kept my eyes on the rode. "It must have been... tough"
I admitted then as I glanced over at you and then at the road
again. I mean, I felt bad for you now.

”Well if it’s still there, I mean it’s been a while someone
could have found it by now,” then I looked at Ally.
”It’s there, I checked,”
”Ally says it’s there,” I said and sat down in the car. Man I
felt tired now, worn out, dealing with ghosts while being sick
was not the greatest plan in the universe, it got me worn out
for sure. But I wanted to help her, and if this was something I
could spend my last time on this earth doing then I would. Maybe
it was a calling of mine so to speak. I could handle this, but
at the same time, I felt like it drained all my energy.
”Ask her out on a date, take it from someone who died, while
waiting for hers…” Ally pressed on.
”Let it be,” I told her, she was in the backseat of the car and
I saw her in the rearview mirror. I looked at you instead.
”It’s weird right talking to someone who seems to be talking to
himself, well a lot?” I asked. I felt stupid. But I had tried to
ignore them, the spirits and that just made things worse, from
the get go I hadn’t even been able to tell who was dead and not
but now I could tell most of the time, if the death wasn’t like
really recent.

I kept my eyes on you and I sighed then.
"Well, I guess not then" I stated. Seemed fair that you were
aware for some reason and I sighed as I went with you straight
to my car and I opened the car door for you.
"Let's just say I hope I believe you because otherwise I've
apparently just invited the ripper to my car" I stated as I
sighed.
"No, but... I don't know, how am I supposed to answer that?" I
asked then, forwning some. I had no idea how to handle this,
honestly.
"No, I don't really believe you, but the same time, there's no
logic against it either at this point. You couldn't have...
known those things..." I sighed as I bit my lip some.
"You seriously know where the knife is then?" I asked as I
watched you, forwning some. What if I fell for the weirdest
trick in the book? But I had this weird gut feeling that I
wasn't, but well, what did I know? I knew nothing.

"Yeah, I mean... you don't normally get a lot of people talking
to your dead co worker every day, so..." I breathed out some as
I glanced at you before I held my eyes back on the road. "Yeah,
I've heard there are frauds, yeah. There are frauds in every
single field though, but I mean..." I sighed then. "There are
people pretending to be from the police, but then again, there
are... real visible police around, so I guess that... people
still trust us... hopefully" I sighed as I shook my head. It was
a lot to wrap my head around, and honestly, it gave me a bit of
a headache already. Well, good thing you weren't being a
handsome murderer, that'd be a bit bad. But like the whole
ghosts and speaking to the dead and Daniel even-thing.
Everything was a bit overwhelming honestly. I then turned to
stare at you and I bit my lip hard as I watched the road again.
"Yeah, I... maybe... I don't know" I breathed out then. "I
mean... sure I've had a weird... gut feelign sometimes, but...
it's not like... that" I stated, not even sure how to speak at
this point about that subject.
"So uh... is this what you do then? Or do you work... without
uh... ghosts?" I asked then.

Yes change of subject, jumping on it at once.
"I am musician to be honest, I perform rap in a club, a hip hop
club," the police had been there a few times maybe you knew of
it. "It's called Club Elysian, CE for sure, have you been?" I
wondered. I wasn't always there performing, I mean I had
actually just recently gone back to work due that I had spent
time in the hospital for the fiftieth time or something.
"So no I don't work with ghosts but yeah the club's haunted to
for sure," a lot of places were haunted, people just had no
idea, some spirts were louder than others. Luckily I didn't need
to give intructions for driving since you knew where the crimes
scene had been.
"So why did you become a police officer then?" I wondered.

"Oh really? A musician?" I asked surprised before I nodded.
"Wow, do you enjoy it?" Surely that was one of the professions
you didn't do if you didn't like it? Or was that just a
stereotype I had?
"The club's haunted?" I asked surprised but I nodded then. "I
guess... I mean it doesn't make sense, but I guess... there's
been loads of people alive far before us, so I guess... most
places could be haunted then?" I suggested asa I frowned
thoughtfully as I kept driving. I turned to watch you as I
recieved that question.
"Oh, uh.. I'm following in someone's foot steps" I stated then
as I smiled some. "And I... I want justice for someone" I
explained just as I pulled over by the crime scene and I turned
to watch you.
"So, this is it" I explained then. I didn't want to get into the
topic of my father too much. It just felt... well, private.
People didn't believe me a lot, like mom. But well, I knew he
was innocent, so I fully intended to prove that.

"Yeah here we are," I looked at Ally. "So..." I said to her. She
pointed behind a dumpster, a few feet away. I nodded. "The knife
is there, underneath that box," I pointed out the dumpster. "Oh
yeah not under the box, behind the box, showed into a crack in
the wall," so therefor it had not been easy to find it, and it
hadn't been located exactly at the crime scene. (typ ett antal
meter bort) I didn't go and pick it up, not wanting to leave my
prints on it, I had seen too much C.S.I to know not to mess with
evidence.
"Killer didn't touch it with his bare hands though, he had
gloves," I watched you, thinking you were just gorgeous. "He
threw the gloves in a trashcan, which has been emptied since so
no luck there, it wasn't here even, few blocks from here, he's
been careful, but yeah got a witness, or well a victim who can
tell us all about it," yet she couldn't really witness in a
trial of course, that would never work. I didn't want to be
mixed up in a trail either, people would think I was insane. I
was so happy you seemed at least open.
"Thanks for not thinking I had something to do with this," I
said.

I watched you and I raised my eyebrows.
"Under thebox?" I asked then before I nodded. "Alright, okay,
behind the box... a crack in the wall?" I asked surprised but I
nodded then as I sighed as I went over to the bbox you'd pointed
out. I didn't know why I was surprised to see that crack in the
wall when I'd put my gloves on and removed the box, but well, I
was surprised and Ig lanced over at you as I bit my lip some
before I reached my hand in and I took it out, the knife and I
stared at it. I put in one of those bags at once. There were
still traces of blood on it, well, that'd be good to match it to
the victim, but without prints it didn't at the end of the day
change much. I turned ot watch you then and I sighed. "Right,
okay. So, do we know where he might have gone after that?" I
asked, but honestly, that'd be a longshot and it was me being
desperate rather than rational. No matter where he'd touched
after that, it'd still mean that he'd touched something where a
zillion people had touched afterwards. I sighed some as I
watched you.
"What would you have thought if you were in my shoes? I did
think you had something to do with this for quite a while back
there" I stated as I bit my lip, honestly feeling a tad guilty
about that.
"You didn't touch anything here, right?" I asked then

"He ran that way," Ally pointed. I nodded to her.
"He ran further down that alley, but then Ally doesn't know,
it's quite dramatic to well die, so it's not easy to know
straight after what happened, she says she died and then she was
back here, and then I came along, saw her and realized I could
talk to her so that's why I showed up at the precinct today," I
explained. "When you tell your coworkers about the knife, leave
me out of it," I didn't want to have to explain to them what I
could do. They wouldn't be as open as you for sure. Police
tended to follow the rule book and not want to hear about
anything else. I had tried this before in another precinct but
they had laughed at me.
"Of course I didn't touch anything, that would have been well
stupid, I just walked by here, Starbucks around the corner, I
was going for coffee," speaking of coffee.
"Could I eh... I mean it's not the right place or time, neither
here nor there, but can I buy you coffee sometimes?" my cheeks
burned. What the hell was I doing now? Flirting (eh eller ja)
with a cop now?
"Good for you," Ally said and smiled. "You should ask her out,"
"No I shouldn't," I told her.
"Just because you are sick doesn't mean you aren't allowed to
date okay?" she said.
"Not a good idea," go on dates, I mean spirit interuptus
anybody? Date someone who talked to dead, what a mess!

I watched you and I nodded and I sighed.
"I... I mean, yeah, it must be... uh traumatic" I stated then.
.It's not like I didn't think it was traumatic, it's just... how
often did you keep a conversation like this up after all?
"No, I'll keep you out of it" I promised with a sigh. "Let's
face it, I mean, you can use the Daniel-thing on me, but I doubt
that anyone else will trust you, sadly. It's not worth it for
anyone involved" I admitted with a sigh.
"Buy me coffee?" I asked surprised as I watched you, about to
answer when you spoke with... well, Ally or someone I guess?
"You shouldn't what? What's not a good idea?" I asked confused.
Wasn't it a good idea to ask me for coffee anymore? I didn't
follow and I did look puzzled.

People probably never had a conversation like this ever,
especially not with a third person who just one of us could see
in the mix. "Yeah I didn't mean to use the Daniel-thing on you,
it's just that you know I had to try and get you to open your
mind a little, it's not easy this er gift that I have," or
curse, whichever, sometimes it was a gift, it felt good to help
people, but also it felt like a curse when people like thought I
was a lunatic who talked to myself.
"Sorry that I'm acting strange, it's just they blab a lot, and
ignoring it doesn't make it go away, just gets worse," I
explained. "I meant that.. well I mean I would like to buy you
coffee some time, would you be up for it? I get if you aren't,
it's weird to ask when we are here, at a crimescene and all," I
was weird. I wasn't really having any game anymore.
"Dating... or er it's not a date... just like hanging out with
people, living people is hard when I am constantly interrupted
by spirits, you know? I didn't mean it's a date though," Ally
rolled her eyes at me.
"Look you found the knife," she said. "I want to go check on my
family, so you can have some time alone," she said and vanished.
"Ally left," I said and looked at you.

wouldn't have believed you" I admitted with a sigh as I watched
you.
"I'm sorry about that... I mean, I get that it's not easy" I
stated then and Is ighed. "I mean, it must be uh... yeah, tough2
I stated as I watched you.
"No, I get that... It gets worse if you ignore them? What does?"
I asked, I mean I didn't know how it worked technically after
all. "I mean, yeah, I would like that" I stated as I watched
you. "I mean, we're good to know and it's not technically a
crime scene..." I stated before I smiled some as I watched you.
"I mean, no matter what, I'd like to have that coffee with you"
I stated with a chuckle.
"Yeah, that must be... hard" I stated as I watched you. "I mean
to get interrupted" Why was I a bit like bummed out that you
didn't see it as a date though? Oh come on, Haley, for gods
sakes.
"Oh? Then you must be... more free to like... not... get
interrupted?" I suggested.
