Skill Master 220/220/220/220/220/50/219
This skill lowers the cost of all in game skills to 1 CP each.
This skill must be purchased all at once.
(Rangers get it cheapest because they're the best class.)

I really like this skill and I believe it would also have the
positive effect of making the game predominantly Ranger as far
as class balance goes. To my mind that can only be a good
thing. Just think of all the cool character concepts you could
make if all skills only cost 1 CP! I do have a few concerns
though.
1. Once this skill is purchased would it not also lower the cost
of itself down to 1 CP therefore refunding you 49 CP? 2.
Wouldn't that make mana a little on the pricey side? 3. What's
the deal with the Theurge cost? Are they second best or
something?

I see a few huge problems with this.
1. Since you have to buy it all at once, how will a new person
be able to obtain this. I mean you have to spend Cps to play a
character. I suppose that you could just bank 50 Cp, and then
get a huge refund at the end, which would be nice.
2. I think that we should word it to It "lowers all in-game
skills to one Cp, unless they are already lower". Natural armor
1-1 would be pretty pricey and would be a huge Nerf to rangers
and It would be hard to balance out such a hard Nerf.
3. My biggest and most level headed complaint is that Theurges
get it for 219, yet rogues have to pay 220. I understand you
dont like stealthy people, but please try to leave your personal
feelings out of this. There is no reason a rogue should not get
this for 219 if the ranger gets it for 50, and the other stealth
sharing class gets it for 219.
4. Should we give it a Racial bonus, like it costs half Cp if
you play a Gatrosans or something like that?
Overall I think this is a solid skill and I would love to see
just those few Minor tweaks before we stick it in game.

I totally overlooked the natural armor thing. I think your
suggestion in your second point as to the rewording would be a
good fix. As for the rogue vs. theurge thing I suppose it
wouldn't be too game breaking if rogues got it for 219 alongside
theurges. That would probably pull some people away from Ranger
but I suppose for balance sake it would be an okay compromise.
To address your first point all I have to say is, "That's what
rewrites are for."

I like this skill. For the higher levels that can afford it it
makes it to where they can buy something every game with the one
CP they'll be earning. But does that raise the cost of some
skills like mana and Nat armor? Because if so that might reduce
the OP of the skills nature.

Theurges would get it for less than rogues because the cross
class should always get it cheaper to accommodate for all the
extra skills they have to work towards. And I agree with your
point about rewording. They shouldn't have to pay more for
natural armor. But what about mana? I don't think it is very
balanced that a ranger has to buy it for more than a mage.

Well we don't want this skill to be OP, that's why we are trying
to do some fine tuning. I think that we will be able to reword
as I said in my above statement.
Also, I don't like the thought of everyone having to use their
one rewrite to this. Since they are so underplayed maybe as a
promotion to if and when this comes into game, we can give
everyone a chance to rewrite to it that game.

Stephen, check Austin's post about this skill to see his fix for
the natural armor thing. Rangers as they stand purchase mana
for 2 CP each so honestly it's still a good boost for them. It
also means that Mages would still have a place in the game since
they'd still be marginally better at magic than a Ranger.

I like that it brings the price up. I means that you are good at
a lot but you still cant be the best at everything. Also I have
a complaint about the math. I thought monks were supposed to be
the average, so why so high a cost?

You guys are awesome, I needed this today. Everyone else has
been lackluster in contrast.
