Master-Crafted Ancient Helean Armor
DIR By: Lothar6669

A character who has reached the master level Armor Smith 14 can
construct Master-Crafted Ancient Helean Armor. This armor when
breached does not lose any of it’s’ protection value. This armor
is crafted from a level III component for each level I component
normally used. When making this armor a full forge is used and
it costs five times the production to create.
The fact this takes lvl 3 components makes this near
uncraftable. A 45 point suit of armor would cost 180 gold in
materials alone. Now, one solution could be to turn it into lvl
2 components. Or possibly change what it does all together.
Thoughs?

No. It needs to be level III components. I believe straight
Ancient Helean Armor is only level II and it only breaches one
point at a time. My thoughts would be to flood the economy with
ores to drop the value down to 3 base again. Ores being more
valuable has made weapons and armor both incredibly expensive.

While the weapons are somewhat expensive, but armor that
requires ore 3's is outrageous. Even if ores 3's get down to 2gp
per unit, its still too much in my opinion. I still think it
needs a buff.

Its armor that never breeches, dude. That means you never have
to worry about breach tags. Ever.

I'm not either. I'm good with blocking and stamina usage to
prevent having to get my armor fixed. Still, this is a good
skill. Maybe we could add a perk that it is considered
unshatterable.

I agree with the 'shatterable' issue regarding any item that is
overly costly. Since isn't making something 'unshatterable' a
multiplier?

There are master crafted weapons that are unshatterable.
Ancient Helean armor is supposed to be armors equivalent,
basically.

One of the things I disliked about Tim's game was that 'within 2
encounters' my Bow would be broken. Monsters targeted them and
made the game far less fun for me.
I'm all for 'cool armor' and if it is unbreakable, that is ok as
long as it can be stolen from time to time, it will all balance
out.
As for 'economy'. We have an artificial economy currently and
will continue to have one until we have enough players (or npcs)
that will start to flood the market. Having Silver=XP will have
an interesting effect on it as well since in most games they are
not tied together. I am still not convinced it is a 'good'
thing, though I admit it was pretty cool in Tim's game having
higher level players taking pitty on the new people and giving
them a hand.
That is not something that happens in this game yet (though Sean
has done it and deserves credit for it)
Can someone help with the Creation of 'Ancient Artheran' armor,
as they are supposedly awesome at making leather armors.

I think the issues with the reason new players haven't been
getting a lot of love is that a lot of the "older" players have
a lot of growth potental and are protecting their xp for
themselves. Once we get some people at level 7/8 and up when the
CP gets stupid expensive to buy we will see much more of it.
The other thing I think is that the parties aren't really all
that defined. A lot of people float between parties and their
are not really that many big cash earning/ xp earning parties. A
big reason that a bunch of the lowbies got love was because one
of the high levels was a baron and could draw on his vast cash
resources to bankroll his party and his loyal subjects. Since
being a baron is hella unlikely it takes that motivation out of
the game. People don't have the cash to fund bribing new players
to join. When I do have some free change I and the xp hop to the
next CP isn't that much I try and help elf and fae players if I
see them checking out but I think that is one of the unintended
consequences of not having stiffly drawn out party lines and a
PC in charge. Not that I think any of the players should be up
their as Baron yet but their are no Knights recruiting for
allies and aside from the merchant guild who has the bank roll
to recruit players to work for them?
