March 21st 2015 Game History
Town
A series of small explosions rocked the merchant district early
in the morning. A man found himself in possession of a cursed
mask that triggered to explode when he said certain words. A
group including the Sunshield Company was able to relieve the
man of the mask and safely dispose of the dangerous item.
Strange tentacles were seen emerging from sewer grates across
the city. They were confronted by the Sunshield Company as well
as a group of fae and their allies. It was noted that the
tentacles appeared to have some similarities to a mass of young
infants.
The mansion this month yielded a large bearded man who emerged
from a fireplace to challenge the Sunshield Company and their
allies to a fight versus the strongest combatant. He was
dispatched, allowing the doors to open and the occupants to
leave.
A lengthy fight in the arena ended with the Blood Oath slaying a
frost breathing hydra. It was not without casualties as a rift
was opened in the arena causing the hydra to lose a few of its
many heads and also claimed one of the fighters. All of these
rained from the sky presenting a hazard to those in the arena as
well as the onlookers.
Also in the arena was the trial by combat of Adair Addison. He
appointed Daemon Sunshield as his champion in the fight and the
weapon smith Vladimir Koskov relied on fate to choose his
champion. The barkeep of the Joyful Bottle tavern, Reggie,
happened by and offered to fight on Koskov’s behalf. A
tumultuous brawl ensued which left Reggie the victor leading to
Adair’s conviction which was resolved with his payment of the
fine.
The collector seeking relics related to the Masters reports that
the Great Sword of Hama was retrieved by Daemon Sunshield, Adair
Addison, and Gareth Bleddyn. They travelled to the Great Eeroan
Woods to a find a cult of barbarians and gained the weapon after
engaging the leader in individual combat.
The Cult of Helgrind was spotted carrying out their strange
rituals in the city again after having not been seen for some
months.
Bodies of plague victims across the city began to rise after
their deaths seeking to attack any living thing around. They
were encountered multiple times and caused much grief with their
ability to erupt in a disgusting explosion of entrails.
Forest
An investigation into the help wanted postings in the town
revealed a strange man in a cave who has the ability to shape
flesh. The steward requests that someone please run this man
out of the barony if possible and that nobody go to answer the
advertisements.
A group of adventurers was slain by the Great Stag in the
forest. It has been reported that this was due to some sort of
religious difference between the creature and the group. The
stag has not been seen since this past weekend.
A limbless torso was found laying out in the forest by the
Sunshield Company. He was determined to be a squire of the
Keepers of the Flame. According to the squire, he was cursed by
a woman who had been travelling in his company the previous day.
The group was able to take him into town for healing by the
Ministers of Purity.
Farmlands
The owner of the Rusty Pony extends his humble thanks to the
members of the Iron Cobra Merchant Guild that returned the
alcohol that had been stolen from his tavern by fae. The same
group also helped out a farmer whose field was being ravaged by
a group of plant folk that attacked the adventurers on sight.
The strange dog that was wandering the farmlands with an arm in
its mouth was found to be some form of shapeshifted dragon which
transformed when confronted by a mixed party of adventurers
including the nobles Maite and squire Andre de Montdesir. After
an extended and dangerous combat the fierce beast was slain and
the threat to the barony neutralized.
Two groups of the small pale humanoids seen last month were
spotted in the barony with large dog-like creatures. These two
groups were run off by adventurers who held up much better to
this round of attacks than last month’s.
As well, small demonic creatures were found in all areas of the
barony attacking anyone who came near them. They were allegedly
looking for an imp. If anyone knows anything of this imp it is
requested that they come forth with it as many demonic beings in
the past months have expressed some sort of tie with it.
