       Spell Packets

       Spell Packets: I’m a fan of putting the ‘live’ into Live Action
       Role Play whenever possible. If mages have Glowing Hands, they
       should be required to show this somehow: Perhaps wearing yellow
       arm bands, or some other distinctive color. Personally though I
       would forgo this and do what some other larps do. Make the Spell
       Packets ‘reagents’ and an In Character necessity for casting
       spells.
       This will do two big things: One it will make spell casters
       responsible for making/bringing their own spell bags if they
       want more than a token number of them, and it will also give
       people a chance to see how good a mage they are going against.
       (Fist full of spells is a good indicator or a way for a low
       level mage to hide their lack of power)

       I don't know about the packets but showing off the glowing hands
       would be interesting.

       As for the packets, I don't think that's the best way to do it.
       Too many packets get tossed around and lost, that it's better
       for us to provide them for the most part. However, it does sound
       like a good idea to make them represent their glowing hands. I
       like the idea of some kind of colorful, visible wristband.
