       ---------------------------------------------------------
Early in the day, a group sought to claim the bounty on the
stinky magician in the sewers and were given some special
equipment to help them along their way. The man was killed in
combat which freed the sewers from terror for the foreseeable
       future.
A wagon train arrived in the city mid-morning advertising a
variety of freaks for the viewing pleasure of the general
public. Many people came to view these slaves within the first
few minutes of the squat and grumpy ringleader setting up shop.
Tragedy befell the man as a group of bandits ran off with his
slaves mere moments later. His economic hopes and dreams
shattered, the man left the city.
A monk from the far north made buzz around town with word of his
penguin deity of great martial prowess. His presence attracted
those interested in exotic religions, cultures, and languages.
The previously growing area of unnatural darkness in the forest
was found to have been caused by strange black squirrel
creatures. A large number of these creatures attempted to attack
an adventuring party but were dealt with by the group along with
a war party of armored squirrels who charged forward to attack
the “heretics”. The armored squirrels were taken back to the
Grand Fir to reinforce that barony against what is claimed to be
       an oncoming war.
The dread knight continued his rampage across the countryside in
the morning. Towards noon a group approached the feared figure
and initiated an intense struggle. After an extended encounter
during which the combatants expended nearly all of their
resources, the behemoth was dropped and his sword claimed by
Daemon Sunshield, one of the fallen from the first encounter
       last month.
The other side of the frosted over glass of the haunted mansion
held a furious blizzard with a small village of igloos (a young
man, never identified, frozen overhead) and a festive holiday
tree. As the tree was approached an evil holiday spirit
approached to evaluate the purity of the souls of those present.
Upon evaluating each person in turn the spirit began hurling
flaming coal at Daemon Sunshield. This initiated combat with all
of those present with four white ape-like creatures joining the
fight. After a brutal melee which left Adair Addison bleeding on
the snow, a jolly red-suited spirit arrived to heal the wounded
and reward them for proving their purity.
Strange animals were spotted fleeing a portal in the farmlands.
A group was seen exiting shortly after and they have seemingly
dealt with the problem with the portal reportedly being closed
       at this time.
The strange black portal in the farmlands spit out two tough
skeletal warriors this month. Combating the two took quite some
time but they were ultimately felled.
A horrific scene was discovered by Atrox and Adair Addison in
the peasant district who reported finding a room filled with
blood and four dead bodies. The epicenter of this massacre was a
burial mask which was later determined to have been cursed. The
two recruited the wolf changeling Ernest to return the mask to
its proper place thus putting the spirit inside it at rest.
Jack and Jill Lumberman would like to extend their thanks to
those that rescued Jack from vengeful dryads.
Oswald Dazbog, a trapmaker previously arrested for the sale of
traps for unlawful purposes, has been arrested for the attempted
destruction of the local brothel as well as the attempted murder
of Pluto Pallas with additional counts for each person
inhabiting the building at the time. The man was apprehended
through the efforts of Pluto and Fangordon who sent out for the
Artheran known as Uldin to dispose of the rest of the
       explosives.
