The Helean ruins have been fought through by two groups of
adventurers. The first fought through the vines and invisible
mushrooms in order to enter the ancient city, and was made up of
Squire? Growl, Meek the Kobold, Dinya the dark elf, Stick the
Goblin, Makar the paladin, and the high elf Eruainon. Once in
town they discovered 3 buildings in what appeared to be the old
city center. They started by searching the temple and ended up
locking themselves in the inner chamber with a mysterious basin
that showed events as they unfolded elsewhere in the world.
The second group composed of Kah and companions (comment if you
were in this party) ended up saving the first group from the
inner sanctum. Afterwards both groups explored the remains of
the other two buildings. Within the forge was a being of fire
that didn’t seem to take damage from most attacks, ultimately
being killed by the sloth guard. Shortly after, the party found
a secret room in the senate building. What they found was almost
too much for even this large party of adventurers to handle. It
was a massive automaton that was speaking of protecting the
crown.
After the hard fought victory against monarchy prime, Gregor
decided that he needed more of a fight and challenged the stone
statue in the temple to one-on-one combat being killing blowed
after losing the fight. It was a brave fight, if not a smart
one.
The prince’s enchanter, Grigori, drew a large crowd to the
tavern consisting of folks who wanted their magical items
identified. He was very generous in paying those who retrieved
objects for him. He will be departing next month for the
regional capital and promises to send back letters to thank
those who retrieved items and give the ingredients for the
enchantments that he has decided to create.
The group of Helean travelers remain in town, refusing to
return from their journey empty-handed. The mage, a diviner,
states that she will be attempting to discover any other lost
ruins in the area.
The wooden statues of Larry the Mage remained untouched,
although they seem harmless, the local farmers are still keeping
their distance from the figures.
A group led by Sir Ivan and Guard Captain Yurick, including
Goosetoff and the birdman Kaw (anyone else in this group please
mention your presence), successfully reopened the trade route to
the west after rebuking some seemingly very dangerous bandits.
The group also drove off a small coven of witches, slaying their
undead warrior and retrieving a strange cauldron which converts
Mana into a drinkable and refreshing liquid. The group rounded
out their journey by slaying three small creatures made of fire
and stone that had been burrowing underground in the South
Forest.
A group of fae creatures came across some Dark Elves being
chased by shadow creatures. The shadow creatures were dealt
with and then the Dark Elves. It is said that the Dark Elves
have begun to mobilize and are amassing forces on the border
with Teromas.
[The following is additional game history written in a story
format]
Pixie Troubles: A party of heroes was found wandering through
the forests when they found a man chasing pixies around a tree
with a butterfly net. After some time of cheering and watching a
man from the Keepers of the Flame, Gregor stepped forward to
have a try. The catcher obliged and with little effort caught
the pixie. The man asked for the pixie back and revealed his
plan with what he did with them. Gregor immediately let the
pixie go and threatened the man’s life for torturing these
innocent creatures.

The guards Archdeacon Executive Intern and (Dalton) stepped in
to clarify that there was no real law being broken here and
ordered him to step down. Gregor chased the man down and killed
him in cold blood. Archdeacon Executive Intern revived the pixie
catcher after arresting Gregor.
Once this tumultuous issue was brought to the attention of the
nobles an elf from House Fiona was ordered to “take a walk” with
the pixie catcher by the squire Growl. It was at this time that
during the conversation they had that the pixie catcher revealed
that he had recently lost his wife due to the consumption and he
was doing all he could to get as much money to give his two
oldest kids as much of an education as they could. The death of
their mother affected them the most and he hopes it doesn’t get
in the way of their schooling. The youngest Jimmy still lives at
home and is still to young to know what has happened to his
mother. Though the oldest Eric should be finishing his courses
soon and returning home to his dad.
This lead to the elf feeling a little sorry for the poor man
struggling through the hard times and understood that he was
doing what he needed to do to support the people he loved. Even
if it is standing on the backs of the less fortunate. As the
emissary of the elves and fae he decided to give him a small
cache of a 5 silver to bribe him to not capture more pixies and
left the man to his family.
Finding the Dagger of Anima Proelia: A wood elf was out
collecting herbs in the woods when he heard the sound of foot
steps and was greeted by a voice with nobody to be seen. It
asked him if he was willing to do him a favor. There was money
as a reward. The elf did not hesitate and only asked what needed
to be done. The voice said he needs a specific dagger that could
be found under a rock that can not be moved under a tree.
The elf returned to town and gathered some of the guards in the
area and promised them that he knows a place people haven’t gone
and they could keep anything they find but the one he wants to
get from this grotto. The guards each had their own motivation
for going. To protect the young elf or personal gain… they went.
When they got to the tree Yurick went to lift the rock and his
hands went right through. Only slightly weirded out by this they
quickly realised that this would have been an excellent hiding
place for good treasure and they went into the dark hole. When
they entered only some of the party could see in this level of
darkness. And almost when they got to the bottom rung of the
ladder they were greeted immediately by creatures of the shadow
glowing sickly and green exploding at the touch and a shrill
screeching that caused extreme but bearable pain to those in
range. The enemies were dispatched quickly and without
hesitation by Growl and the rest of the party.
As they walked up to the door at the end of the hall Growl told
everyone to stop because he saw a glyph on the door and could
not identify it. So he sent the blinded party members back to
the surface to grab someone who could disarm it and bring back
some torches for them to be able to see.
While the blind party was away Growl and Stick were in the room
with the elf who was left behind and thought to be alone in the
darkness. They took turns poking at him to freak him out until
Growl got the idea that he could throw a rock at the door and
hit the glyph to activate it. They each took turns throwing
rocks until it went off. The rest of their party was still not
back. They decided to play a joke and pretend to be dead before
they got back.
When the rest of their party arrived they saw their friends
“dead” on the ground. Then Growl pretended to raise from the
dead as a zombie followed shortly by stick and then the elf.
This gave Yurick and his group a fright that they may need to
kill their friends. But before it came to blows Growl gave up
the charade and pushed the door open to a lighted room. Yurick
and party was not pleased.
When the party entered the room they saw it was a nice stone
wall like that in a castle and had a well kept table with a
mirror on the wall that showed everything in the room except the
door behind them. After some inspection the removed the mirror
from the wall and placed in on another wall to reveal the door
through the mirror to go to another room that they have not
been.
Entering this room the party was more cautious than before.
This was the room with the dagger. Anima Proelia the one the elf
was sent to find. But before an inexperienced member of the
party reached out to grab it Growl grabbed his hand and said to
wait. They inspected it but realized that nobody he was skilled
enough to really find anything wrong with anything in this room.
Meek didn’t even see any traps.
Reluctantly Growl grabbed the dagger willing to take the brunt
of the punishment for the party. The dagger said loudly in every
language recognizable by the characters, “Do not be consumed by
my power…” Shrugging off its warning since there was no other
negative reaction to picking up the dagger the party left. Growl
switched the magical dagger with a regular one and then sold the
dagger in the market to a newer mage in town.
The elf returned to the woods to give the dagger to the voice.
He left it on the ground and waited a while. The footsteps came
and brought a message. “This isn’t the dagger I asked for. Bring
me the real one if you want me to pay you.” The elf tried to
explain his actions but was to late as he heard the steps
leaving already.
The Paths of the Chalice that Never Fills: Months ago the wrong
chalice was grabbed by Stick from a dungeon after Madstock
contracted Stick’s party to participate in his little game.
Madstock gave him half the agreed upon amount. Stick was
disgruntled but satisfied in the end of the transaction. This
would later prove to have been a fortunate mistake.
A few months pass and Stick came face-to-face with Le Toff and
they had a conversation. Stick having known about these items
from some encounters in the past knew where he could find them
and set off to track down the chalice. His dog Moon Moon found
an older trail that lead him to a farm where the grass was
starting to grow in from when Timmy thought he was a farmer.
Then down the road a bit more could see mostly covered holes in
the bottom of the river back when it had dried up with some more
clear holes around the river. The trail ended at Timmy’s house.
Timmy was trying to be a dwarf and really in the mood for
crafting things. Stick asked the child for a very special cup
and was willing to give him a very shiny golden coin for it.
Timmy closed the door and banged some metals around and came
back with what looked like a bowl. Stick insulted his
craftsmanship by saying it wasn’t special enough to be worth the
coin. Timmy convinced Stick that he would give him the crude
“bowl” and borrow the special cup for the coin. Stick was
reluctant but gave into the child’s demands. Once Timmy got the
coin he ran inside and got his uncle’s drinking horn. Which
Stick did not want. Timmy then divulged the information after
prompted about the properties of the cup that he gave it to
Ivan.
Stick borrowed the cup from Ivan and returned to Le Toff to
only set off again to retrieve the dagger from the new enchanter
in town. He gave Le Toff the dagger and is now waiting on the
success of the surgery and will hopefully receive a reward from
Le Toff. But he performed his actions out of the kindness in his
heart.
(The following story is out of game knowledge. It highlights a
bit of roleplay that we as plot think should be lauded.)
Death of Archdeacon Executive Intern: Archdeacon Executive
Intern coerced by Bertrum walked into the woods alone seeking
his own death. In his travels he stumbled upon a pod of Gold
Dust deer that are out of their normal migration patterns due to
the weird weather. With his sunny disposition Archdeacon
Executive Intern befriended the deer not knowing whether they
would attack or not.
Soon trouble came from the brush. Approached the hooded dwarf
Korgin with malice in his eyes. Archdeacon Executive Intern not
recognizing his friend approached telling the deer he hopes for
the worst and that they could have his jacket after his death.
Korgin removed his hood and told his friend that he has moved to
far into the darkness. He has been soaked into the chaos and he
feels that he has lost his friend. He announced that he is there
to take his life.
Archdeacon Executive Intern tried to say that Bertrum never
hurt the him. And that they were friends. Korgin feeling
betrayed in not only his beliefs but also his friendship went to
strike Archdeacon Executive Intern and a deer broke the dwarf’s
leg. Korgin crawled toward Archdeacon Executive Intern for
another strike and his other leg was broken. Archdeacon
Executive Intern stepped closer to Korgin not fearing the loss
of his life.
Korgin seeing his chance struck Archdeacon Executive Intern but
before he was able to hit him again his arm was broken by a deer
and Archdeacon Executive Intern cast a spell to hold him in his
place. Another deer came and broke the dwarf’s last limb.
Trapped the Dwarf Korgin was the mercy of Archdeacon Executive
Intern who said, “You had to hurt me didn’t you,” as he slit the
dwarf's throat. He walked away.

***Announcement***
The following Is announced from the perspective of Sir
Wladimir
Knight Commander Dieko Konstantin entered town in the early
morning, and the events that unfolded resulted in the death of
the town crier. Konstantin has been spoken with about the
grounds of this sudden execution, and has been instructed to
refrain from using such drastic measures in his further
endeavors. Konstantin was sent here to aid in enforcing our laws
and he will remain to further enforce our laws. It was later in
the day with the execution of a man being charged with defending
an innocent creature, it came to my attention that perhaps the
only wrong done that day was of the citizens of Ilyingrad
trusting in the jurisdiction, or lack thereof, of our laws. The
citizens of Ilyingrad are a strong people, and now more than
ever with the events of the grand heating, and the pressures of
outside forces, we must remain strong.
