July 2017 Game History

*Because of the short two week turnaround, it seems that June
didn't get written.*
Here ye, here ye, for the July Game History!
The town crier glances about before beginning his announcing.
“No bloodthirsty Saurans in the audience today? Good!
Three nobles have been killed of late with no tangible leads to
their killers! Sir Aluin last month with a cryptic note about
stolen items, The Steward was also killed in his bed. Sir
McCarthy was killed shortly after lunch in a public square with
no witnesses. Some say the new knight had it coming. Services
for the steward will be later this month… what are these
red coins?
It is believed a satyr committed the murder, others say the dark
elves, some even claim it was Lars before he came to take my
life!
Lars was defeated swiftly by my magic. Without a beat I
continued to do my job, causing many to miss my announcements
due to the chaos of the moment. (Tsk tsk, they should listen
better.) There are groups that say Lars will return stronger
than ever for the Saurans practice a dark magic, and Lars has
sacrificed many to his master. Children are encouraged to
behave, for Lars stalks the night waiting to sacrifice those
whom do not listen to their elders… or some say.
Speaking of misbehaving children, Timmy has been at it again.
Rumored to have snuck into an elder dragon den and raided its
treasure and Eggs. He escaped to be hindered by a group of
adventurers long enough for the dragon to catch him! Have no
fear with the aide of Timmy, the adventures were successful in
defeating this beast! Odd rumor is that after killing the
dragon, the same adventurers ran from a pack of hungry
goats…. Odd that.
Wug war possibly thwarted! With the death of the steward, Ivan
has stepped up to hold the town together. Rumors of a peace
treaty with the Wugs.
Dark Elves in the city! Be on your guard. They claim to be here
to see about a ransom… but what are their true motives?
They wear heraldry that seems familiar… wasn’t a
certain group of adventurers asking about it previously? I
forget.
Rumors of the goat king being a Child! Many of adventurers went
out to protect our forests and farmlands… eventually
slaying all but a few. The meat stores are full for a bit, and
sad to say we will be eating goat for the next month and I fear
goat hide will become the latest fashion trend but crisis
averted. A group of farmers whom were previously offering a 6
copper reward for someone dealing with the goats are rumored to
be seeking reparations of their crops from the local Fae…
those poor sods can’t catch a break!
Ogre! And Ogres! “Sir” Ivan, his advisor, and some
Flarosan dandy encountered an ogre with a log club that broke
Ivan’s and the advisor’s shield which ended in the
ogre dying.
The Town guard dwarf went after a party of ogres. They came back
limping. Unknown success rate as they refused to speak on it.
Rumor has it the baby Ogre challenged the whole party to an
honor duel.. then won. However, other sources claim that after a
pitched battle several of the ogres were slain, one ran off with
a baby ogre, and the father annoyed at the threats to his
bouncing bundle of mayhem and destruction continued to beat the
party into submission, or to a stalemate. Another source states
they all sat down for a honey mead… however, Most simply
want to know where the honey mead came from.
The cow says Meow?!?!?! A bizarre feline cursed a poor
farmer’s animals, turning them into cat-like abominations.
A rather scaly adventurer swiftly dispatched the creature.
No sightings of Zardon this month.. what is the evil Inept
necromancer up to? Someone please kill that guy!
Saurans still raiding. Guards and adventurers alike have not
dealt with the problems of the coats… aside from the
occasional ship wreck... I think they are just after loot!
Laughter could be heard from the sea as some brave adventurers
had… a water fight? What could that be?
A group of adventurers, a lizard man, and a necrochicken walk
into a cave (sounds like a bad joke) and encounter… a
bunch of talking furniture!?! All joking aside, the chicken had
it out for the candlestick. As the adventurers left, a ship
could be seen leaving the cave. In other news the crazy old man
has quieted down recently.
A dancing masked man on a raft encountered a bunch of
adventurers who were too chicken to figure out the man’s
goal. No one knows where the masked dancer could be out by now,
have the adventurers released a new evil upon this world?”
