Spell Surge addition

Add "For spells with a delayed activation such as auras or
glyphs, surge may be used upon initial casting in order to be
called upon activation." to the spell description. It would
still cost the extra mana needed to surge the spell.

I know this probably makes sense, I just don't understand what
you are meaning by that statement.

This addition would make it so that spells with a delayed
activation would have the surge added when they activated and
not when they are cast. Right now, a Fire Aura Surge would
bypass your shields and when activated would be called as just
"Fire Aura". With this addition, it would mean that you would
announce it as "Fire Aura Surge" which would bypass the shields
of the person who activated it and they would take the effects.
This would improve the usefulness of Surge as it could be
applied to more spells.
