In the morning, two dark elves were tried for treason and given
a trial by combat, to let their gods decide their innocence.
With a quick exchange of blows they were both slain by Sir
Wladamir Sewick. Immediately following the executions, a great
crashing sound was heard coming from the shoreline. All those in
the crowd that left the holding to investigate were greeted by
the sight of two ships colliding. One ship was pushed onto the
beach, while the other promptly began to sink into the water. A
few in the crowd who weren’t afraid of getting wet swam out to
the sinking ship, while the rest searched the wreckage on the
beach. Two strange humanoid beings, one covered in scales and
the other with snow-white skin, were found in the sinking ship.
On the other ship, there was a man who only spoke Sauran, along
with his companion who was lying nearby in the sand unconscious.
All of the survivors have fully recovered from any injuries they
sustained in the crash.
During lunch, a warrior by the name of Elenor encountered a
bizarre phenomenon when she was tossing some refuse into a trash
heap. A swirling cluster of trash rose up and enveloped her. A
number of adventurers who were close by noticed the
trash-covered woman as she began to head for the holding’s
gates. They chased her down and a helpful mage threw a spell to
free her from whatever was possessing her. The trash came off of
her and promptly fled the area. Sadly, the group was unable to
pursue the creature. All citizens are warned to be cautious
around any piles of trash in case the creature returns or there
are more of its kind hiding within the town.
Shortly after lunch, a Sauran man was convicted of unprovoked
battery on a child. It would seem that he performed a ritual
sacrifice on her, but immediately healed her. As such, he
wasn’t charged with murder and only received a beating until he
fell unconscious. While this was happening, a skeleton with a
pumpkin head galloped into town followed by a mage clapping his
hands, seemingly to imitate a horse. The skeleton was killed
and the necromancer was apprehended. He will be executed in the
coming month.
Cries for help and shouted accusations of murder were heard
coming from the Sauran camp. However, when guardsman Selerik
arrived on the scene there was no one present. All that he was
able to report was two of the camp’s tents appeared to have been
placed into the campfire, their burnt remains left in the fire
pit.
The changeling party went to the mines to investigate the giant
insects. They found a rust monster that had opened an entrance
to the underdark. The party slew the beast and a guard was
stationed by the breach.
Fabio and his dancing pirate crew went to the northern forest
and met with a party of bandits. The bandits demanded tribute
and the crew did not pay enough, resulting in a bloody fight.
Luckily the crew did survive. Later in the day, a party led by
a noble high elf tracked these bandits down and decimated the
remainder of the patrol. They later tracked down the camp and
relayed the location to the guards.
The noble high elf and his faerie compatriot encountered a party
of goblins in the forest. After a drawn out, silly fight, the
goblins were mostly slain with the rest fleeing. Later in the
day, a group of adventurers found a farmer complaining about his
neighbor’s rooster. After a short conversation, one of the
party members offered to pay for the bird to take the burden off
of them both.
As night began to fall, a noble of the barony of Pokrov, the
barony to the north, entered the holding and demanded to see Sir
Wladamir. When he came out, the noble demanded a ten gold
tribute or else suffer the threat of war. With reluctance,
Wladamir accepted the terms and the man left, gold in hand.
