Make a longer incant for monks

So, right now all Monks have to say is Divine (....) and the
ability happens. This is pretty broken with kill spells and
things of that nature. I suggest we add a real incant, something
along the lines of "By the power of my master I ". Thoughts on
this?

Not to different from magical effrcts. Where you say magical
(..) . This is one of the only reasons to play a monk. Monks
dont get many faith points, compared to a mage, and its very
hard to build skills pluses and faith so monks usually dont
swing past base damage. Idk i just think its not that bad. Also
spells arent easy for monks to learn, since mages cant teach
them. Theres always a chance a monk wont get the kill spell. For
instance, a arcane monk would have to find a more powerful
arcane monk or a lab, and the chances of that arent good

I'm with Rocket on this. Divine effects seem to be a broader
version of magical effects. I don't see a reason to change the
incant for one without changing the other.

Well, they are similar in incant maybe. But magical's are
committed cp's to one effect. If you have a magical kill, you
wont have a magical renew. Where a monk can have both of those
with a divine kill spell, and a righteous salvation. Skill
pluses are just as easy as any hybrid character so its their
choice if they don't want to swing past base damage. While
spells are not as easy to learn, its not super hard to either.
At least not since they can be learned as 0 cost skills. And
thats true but, if you were a Arcane monk writing in, you would
be aware of that. Just like if you were a Chaos monk, there is a
teacher readily available. All I will be suggesting at errata is
a few more words added as an incant.

There are so many restrictions and sacrifices. They dont get
many points per level bought for one. No its not just as easy
because say paladins for example: they can buy a path, mana ,
and skill pluses. Mana and paths are way easy to buy than faith
levels and skills plus. To be able to kill someone with me
limited low amount of points i need faith 3. Thats 24 cp min.
Thats definatly is large enough to constitute a shortened
incant. On average i can throw 5 a day since i spend points of
other stuff to help people. After thatits spear with no skill
plus, no deflect. Yes monks can do a wide variety of things but
only a small finite of times compared to others.

Remember that this is a discussion ahead of errata. Nothing said
on these boards are final, and in the end it comes down to a
vote amongst the player base regardless of the feelings of one
individual
Monks have nowhere near the versatility of an actual magic user.
They get 1 path, and 1 path only. If you make their incant
longer, what do they actually get that's useful? They can't buy
more than +2 skill for cheap, and the increased cost on special
attacks/defenses makes it a chore to even attempt, 1 path means
no access to the versatility of casters, even alchemy rogues
have more effects they could conceivably pull off most of the
time.

Taking the points into consideration is that when I am
presenting my argument, I will acknowledge the points brought up
to me. I guess I should have been more specific so that some
people could understand. My bad.
Also, while you say they have nowhere near the versatility of a
actual magic user, im going to disagree there. While they dont
have a huge plethora of spells, they have their faith effects.
Spell replication if just one of many, like resist magic, resist
fear, divine blade, Righteous salvation, and true sight, which
is super good. Oh, and don't forget natural armor, which is of
course better than regular armor in every way. If you are
seriously arguing that adding 2-3 words as an incant will make
them unplayable, there might be a bigger problem.

The only change I might agree to on the incant is to change
"Divine" to a different word. One with three syllables. We
could use Heavenly or Angelic. Both sound cool. I wouldn't
want to increase it any more than that, though, because then it
is longer than magical and natural [effect]. Monks are limited
to their one path, which is why I think their incant should
remain short. If you believe that that doesn't balance it out,
maybe we should look at either increasing the cost of faith
levels by 1 or 2 points or making the skills (besides spell
replication) cost CP.

Also thr short incant is what makes a monk battle capable. Gotta
be able to say it on the run, while fighting and focusing on
many things. Changing it tk heavenly sounds like a good idea
