Oh, well that should be wildly unpopular if it ever hits errata
formally :P However if it did pass scroll making would be
stupidly popular. But I do like the sound of instruction not
resetting.

That and spell books would be more prevalent.

Im not a huge fan of spell books either. What happens if a npc
runs off with mine, am I out of luck and cant cast spells?

No you still know the spells. You would just have to inscribe
them in a new book in order to trade them. Or get your book
back.

If the spell books were like alchemy books I think I could go
for it. Unfortunately, the only thing limiting you is the amount
that you're willing to spend then.

So, if we have spell books then all it takes is money to learn
spells? I may be wrong, but I didn't think you had to learn
recipes though instruction, I was under the impression it just
costs money to copy the the poison recipe into your book.

That's how I've always understood it.

If that's how it gets presented it has my vote then.

Yeah, mine to. I think it goes completely against the original
point of this thread though.

So no instruction for spells. Spell books can have new spells
wrote in them for a price of 2 sliver per lvl. You must spend a
day per lvl to learn the spell (no bead pick).
