Magpul ACR Masada

This is my review on Magpul ACR Masada from new.
Purchased the carbine several months ago. Versus doing a
standard blog on it, I'm gonna express my views, and
experiences.
First outing, Sopley. After using rentals and a G&P CQB M4 this
was a real step. I'd purchased some new Magpul 120 M Version
mags to complement the gun. After a few skirmished I'd started
to notice the following, 1. The gun in general lacked range, I'm
not saying it was bad I was just expecting better? 2. Accuracy
was excellent. 3. BB feed faultlessly.
End of day summary. I'm not exactly light on the trigger so I
generally manage to expel 1500 BB's when at Sopley! Therefore
considering the Masada was using a 1500 Mah battery it lasted
all day. OK I also know ppl quote 1mah per bb. But that also
depends on many other factors. I will say I was using a good
quality vapex battery. When people ask does this make a
difference, that kinda like comparing, drum brakes to disc
brakes on a car! It's a no brainer upgrade.
Upgrades. Over the past several months I've changed the stock to
the folding option, added the real fore guard from Magpul,
Magprul foregrip. A friend in the know has done the "hop mod"
thus making it work properly. Also added the extra rails onto
the foregrip. I've kept the original carbine barrel, and flash
hider. Also 7 x M Version Magpul 120 Mags.
Issues. On occassional even with using magpul mags, the gun has
failed to shoot? In it's defence I was using zero one eceonomy
BB's. Historically these have been fine for the first x's shots.
I haven't really done an outting with the gun since so intend to
upgrade the ammo to some quality BB's. I've also used Lonex mags
on the carbine which work great.
Round-Up. I've skirmeshed the gun in woodlands and urban. Found
it more than capable in both arenas. For the cost I believe
theirs better guns available on the market. If you can only
afford one gun, and looking for reliability, then you can't go
far wrong. But for the price you could buy two other good guns
from TM for example? Therefore it's a preference "thang", each
to their own..
