I love being in attacking patrols but some people think its
pointless, your views?

Gives you more realism on a field. Why would that possibly be
pointless. LoL.
It's what you do not others. ;)

I think if you have a pratroll in which people are in a
defensive stance
1 guy behind 1 in front
checking corners
then yess it can be very effective
if its you and your mates talking lots and walking down the path
then you will just end up ambushed

I was with sarge a few woodlands ago, with about 5 others. We
got from the nest to the landing zone unseen and we set up an
ambush. Nobody got hit from our patrol. I find they are
effective

I think everyone likes the idea of playing in a team, and using
tactics. Issue always becomes when one person breaks the team
plan. Ends up compromising everyone else. We always try and
designate one person as commander and follow his lead. This
changes thru the day, just to keep it fun.

I refer to the person that breaks the team's plans as a dick :o
LooL they gotta ruin the whole day for others to enjoy. Just
can't stand groups or standalone players that dont follow the
rules.

sometimes im a recon loadout
and being a lone wolf player can be a good thing
no group of people make a noises giving away my position why im
trying to sniper
and people seem to be trgger happy and try to shoot the enemy
from well to far away.. thus giving our position away
why not get as close as possible then take them out

yeah to realistic patrols, if you and the lads you are with know
what you are properly doing it works a treat. We use it all the
time and it works all the time, but also if anyone doesnt want
to do it we dont do it thats the good thing about our team.
