       Royal British Legion (RBL)

Our campaign starts in November with a double shift at
       Morrisons.
Normally we would collect from the first weekend right through
til the following weekend, but this year it's been changed.
Despite putting in the collecting request on time, Morrisons
failed to respond until i sort out the manager, by request of
the main Poppy Appeal Officer (I'm the Poppy Appeal Officer for
Morrisons only). By then we were given November 3rd and 4th,
followed by November 7th til November 11th. The 5th and 6th have
been allocated to another group, but we're first in line should
       they fail to show.

RBL's up and running. Collectors been active in town and our
       time at Morrisons is underway.
Although have to count the contents of todays tins, yesterdays
tins yielded £655 - not bad for 8 collectors over an 11hr
       period?

Congratulations Chris. Here in Harrogate we are extremely
lucky having the Army Foundation College just outside town. As
usual the young lads and lasses (16 and 17 year olds) who are
enrolled there have been out in force with poppies and
collection tins. I have no idea how much they collect but it
seemed like they were doing well.

The collection is over from Morrisons, monies counted results
       in.
Last year we collected £3500 over a 10 day period (at
Morrisons), but this year managed £3000 over a 6.5 day period.
It would have been an 8 day period but Morrisons got our booking
wrong this year. (Daily average better than that of 2011).
The response from the street and statics looks promising and we
hope to either match or beat the £10,000 raised last year in
       Cromer.

The Royal British Legion Porthcawl Poppy Appeal this year
realised £14,464.07. Not bad for a small town. As last year,
Porthcawl Lions helped with street selling, raising £1,636.18.
I stood on my patch , the seafront promenade for several hours a
day, sometimes with a brolly. People have been very generous in
       giving.

Well done CW2, you and your club done good. RBL HQ are always
asking that all clubs do more and by giving us more and more
Poppy gear to sell, are getting their wish. I'm just waiting for
       the final figure from Cromer.

Final figure just in for Cromer and surrounding area - £12000
and change. We're up just over £500 on last year, impressive!
