       When I was posted there from Boulmer in Jan 74, what the hell
       does this stand for.
       Tinsmith SLEWC Support Unit (TSSU ) it all became very clear and
       at the end of it all spent 6 years there,arriived married and
       left Single, besides that it was a brilliant tour for job
       satisfaction and some great guys and company from all over the
       site and Wattisham.
       It turned out I was the first Scopie in the job was being done
       by Stats Clerks, so my first Boss was a stats SGT Jim Cassidy,
       now there was a character, we hit it off like a house on fire.
       Sqn Ldr Barry Palmer was OC the Programming team and he decided
       that he would have two. LAC's straight from the School,
       uncorrupted so to speak.
       Taff Parry and Taff Hiscocks and when Jim was replaced it was by
       Winston Pusey (RIP ) and the Software Support Flight came into
       being.
       1 ACC were also using the site, eventually when they shot
       through we took over all their office buildings.
       We moved around a lot at the start, proving the new site
       software after debugging it and then still debugging it on site.
       Happy Days.
       Winston was replaced by Mick Shelton, from the
       Sims at Neatishead and we also gained Steve Molyneux, who ended
       up as an unofficial programmer, and Steve Wedgbury did a lot of
       drawing etc and if he asked for time off or a leave pass, you
       really had to have your thinking cap on.( a nice challenge
       though lol)
       Brian Wilson came in as a Corporal and Mick PVr'd and was
       replaced by Eddie Jervis.
       I must admit I learnt a hell of a lot about the dodges on
       Inventories from them all.
       Held me in good stead for the future.

       Forysth and wee Mac, name escapes me at the minute, feel free to
       dive in  , arrived. Funny enough I bought Taff Hiscocks Honda
       125, and then after I was on my own bought MAc's Honda 250, now
       that another story in itself:)) Maccarried on with his three
       wheeler and drove the unit Hovercraft:))
       I was promoted in Jan 80 and they could not hold me any longer,
       Fylingdales all SNCO's are
       going. to have to do a tour there, max 2 and half years, 3 and
       half years later before I left and a hell of a lot never went
       there.
       However Yorkshire was my second home, single and a Biker in my
       element :)
       When the grey cells remember more , or someone jogs them, feel
       free to contribute, as we all should, whilst we remember :)
