So why didn't the officer who stuck you in registry not get a
bollocking, did somebody forget to mention his name. It would
have saved you some of the grief in Lego land. ;D

I started tunnelling before I left 280 at the end of my second
tour, and with annual, disembarkation leave, Christmas Grant and
my recruiting course I did less that 6 months at WD.

As you know Russ I did not do much longer, PVR married and been
a happy camper ever since.
Always enjoyed every camp I was on except WD, arrived in May
from Maastricht, PVR in on October. left March, married in April
then Luxembourg.
Chief Clerk had two drawers full of PVR's he said.
The CO was something else, he asked me to join the RAFA upon
leaving, he did not even know that I was the station RAFA liason
officer and had been a life member since the sixties.

TB I first saw these flight strips at JATCC Nicosia being used
by the Cypriot ATC controllers with all the aircraft details
written on the strip. They had different coloured strips which
denoted which way the flight was going. Next time I saw them was
when I was posted to Highland Radar as an AATC.
