Looks interesting, I'll watch this on the computer. Enjoyed it
but that's not the hole I remember.
Thanks Ricky for that view of the past. WWII era mainly.

I remember doing fire and breathing apparatus training in a
concrete building block on the right hand site as if heading to
ops. site.Would that have been the old Rx. building or something

But it does show more of the original RDF set up. The lady that
was speaking on the program, Mary Wain, is the 'Chair' (oh I

Terry maybe its just coincidence but... there was a Reg Wain,
back in the late 60's he was stationed at Bawdsey, just
wondered if Mary Wain was any relation to him??? (poss wife)

I do believe that Reg is Mary's father. I know that her father
was at Bawdsey around that time and I think she mentioned it

Mary doesnt live in the house on the beach front, which used to
be RAF quarters. She owns it but actually lives in Felixstowe. I
would have liked to buy the one that I lived in when I was at
the school, but it is owned by the American language School and
used as student accommodation. Pity as it is a lovely spot and
       such good memories. TB

Great nostalgia I enjoyed many hours listening to Radio
Caroline, good music and the Mi Amigo a bit anti-establishment.
There was also another pirate radio station called Veronica that
I used to listen to about that time.
