This topic came up at the Halton reunion and one of our number
actually confessed to being the culprit. Before divulging any
name I am going to check with the person and confirm the story.
       watch this space. TB

TB not a Bawdsey topic but.....your comment about marching
in/out of married quarters, how many times have I heard similar
       tales.
I was told by a certain Families Officer that my wife should
wait outside during the marching in process, got in the car,
passed the message and we drove off. I heard later that the 19
years WRAF Officer who was families officer had been following
instructions from the Works and Bricks chappy who had overspent
on his budget for maintainance (or non maintainance) of AMQ's.
I was 'interviewed' by my Sqn Cdr, he more or less said words
to the effect that the young officer had much to learn.

Unfortunately that will not be the case up here as the only
foreign channel BBC iPlayer have is BBC Alba and that's mainly
aimed at the west coast where they speak Gaelic with subtitles.

Would love to be able to do that but where we live we're
scuppered with what channels we can get. :'(
