       From Linda Horner.
I just did 2 weeks TAG at Bawdsey, followed by Trade Training,
Nov 70 - Jan 71 and I've never been so cold in all my life.
Couldn't wait to leave. Buchan was so much warmer.

Did the culprit(s) who chopped down the flag pole during the
Xmas period 1964 ever confess ? Dont know why it's still a
secret they're hardly going to be hit with a 252 now, time to
fess-up and claim overdue legendary status !

Gary, that was the thought afterwards. Strange that the
kerfuffle died a very quiet death after all the threats of dire
retribution upon those who might have been responsible.
       High spirits of course!!

TB, WO Jim Hudson was the WO Ops in May 66 when I departed
Bawdsey for FEAF. Met him again at Western Hill 2 years later
just before my return to the UK.
Remember Abi Kadir well!! As does Chris Bell no doubt. ;) ;D

You could well be right Laurie. I got there around September 66
and I thought it was Dixie Dean but could well be wrong. But
then I do not remember Jim Hudson at all. Will ask Chris Bell.
       He will know. TB

       TB
Ken O'Fee - what a lad, - Londoner?, was with him at Bempton
in 1959/60 when he was an SAC. He boxed for Fighter Command
and I also think the RAF. Believe he would be a feather
weight, height about 5ft 4'ish. Ken's mate at Bempton was a
6ft 2 National Service lad from Bradford , the name Roger Young
       rings a bell.
Like so many names that come up - wonder what happened to Ken???
       anyone know
       Brian

Ken was on my first watch at Bawdsey when I finished training.
I last heard of him in the Peterborough area, but that was some
       30 years ago!
Time flies when you're having fun don't it!!! :o
