I assumed the split limit for the 109s was 6 flights (all the
available flights from countermix) but just now realized that
there a potential overlap with Ju88 R counter. You must use the
Ju88 R counter since the other Ju 88 counters overlap with He
111 counters. There is a Torpedo He 111 bomber Q squadron that
could be used to free up one of the Ju 88 S, T, U squadrons but
that would seem less than ideal to rely on a Blitz squadron to
make the countermix work.
Should we make the split limit 4 flights for this one?

The updated rules on Glide Bombing [15.3.4] makes it mandatory
that the scenario specify that it is allowed for medium bombers.
In this scenario, there is a special rule which states "2. The
He 111s and Ju 88s cannot change altitude before they commence
their bombing profile." Is this allowing the He 111s to Glide
Bomb? Otherwise, I don't see that they can change their altitude
for any other reason since none of the other bombing profiles
are possible for them. The Ju 88s can Steep Angle bomb.

No, it's not allowing the Heinkels to dive-bomb. I think a
special rule that did that would need to be explicit. But I take
your point about the confusion. Let me see what I can do to
demystify this.

I'm adding in the split limit, but looking at the text on the
bomber behaviour I'm not sure I need to clarify it any further.

Is there really wispy cloud from N0 to N13? That's vertical!
Also, split limit will be 4, and Ju88 as well as H111s must fly
level?

Correct. The vertical cloud represents the column of smoke over
Dunkirk.
On reflection I’ll relax the altitude change restriction on the
Ju 88s.
