New scenario thread for playtest of Slow Them At Any Cost!
Please do not create a new thread for this scenario.

Petr rightly tells me that there was a late change that I missed
implementing for this scenario. The Germans should have just one
Experte and not two!
This will be corrected on the next release, but for now just
keep a note of this.

The Defenders (Germans) Alert status is listed as "No squadrons
start alerted" and the Raiders (Czechs) are listed as "All
flights start alerted."
Shouldn't this be the other way around? Especially for CAP
mission for the He-51 since CAP is a variant of Intercept which
states in rules that they ALWAYS start alerted (9.2.4 first
paragraph).

I think you're right and it's an error that may have crept in.

Looking at the scenario, this is a situation where BOTH sides
probably should start unalerted.

I think this is the first time I've encountered fighter-bombers
with rigid doctrine. I THINK the rigid doctrine has no effect
when they are flying as bombers, and this would be in line with
the rest of the rules for fighter-bombers, but this could be
clearer in the standard rules.

V0.3
Players: Elias Nordling, Peter Wagner
With all the crappy firepower and poor line of sight, this
scenario felt like it could end up with no one hurt.
The first wave of Czechs start very close to the target with
little time for the Germans to stop them. This isn't necessarily
a problem, the Czech fighter-bombers have to choose between
attacking the ground target or engaging the CAP, which is nice.
With no radios and all the clouds, aircraft break often and
early. Again, I'm not sure it is a problem as much as an
interesting feature of the scenario, but the exception is that
it makes it very hard for the Czechs to hit their targets. I
wouldn't advocate a fixed bombing point system here as that
would take away a lot of the decision making.
In our game, the first Czech fighter strafed while the second
was intercepted. the first bomber got to bomb unmolested but the
second was broken by fighter attacks well before bombing. Only
two bombing hits were scored on one of the targets. The BF
109D:s arrived late and attacked the last of the bombers, mostly
for VP-farming. One of the Czechs fighters also chased after
He51:s just to get a few points.
Czech: 1 point bombing, 3 He51. 4
German: 2 B71: 4
Total 0.
German victory. Felt like a German victory.
Suggestions: Obviously, the Czechs need help in hitting with the
bombs. We both agreed replacing the leftmost tank with a truck
would make the ground targets a little more vulnerable and still
give the impression of an armored column. I'm not sure it is
enough, but I don't have any other ideas right at the top of my
head.
Pete might want to fill in with his opinions.

Okay, well let's certainly bank the target replacement idea and
see what Petr thinks.

Hi Lee,
I was just setting up O09 for a solo run this morning and
noticed that while the German OrBat has 1x Bf 109D squadron
there is no squadron-size Max Losses figure (only flight-size)
given and Radio Net "Berta" refers to "Bf 109D flights". Is the
German side supposed to have 2x Bf 109D flights vice the
squadron? Or should there be a squadron-size Max Losses ("9",
perhaps) plus a wording change in "Berta"?
Also, this scenario needs the "+WL" indicator in the top right
corner since the B-71 uses the SB ADC from WL: Blitz.

Thanks, Rick.
Yes, the squadron should be a flight.
The +WL indication is unnecessary, as an updated SB ADC will be
included with Origins.
