That's an interesting idea. We should certainly keep that one in
the bank. Though it occurs to me that if we reduce the Ki-30 VPs
we might need to consider reducing the escort.

Scenario: O13 On a little street in Singapore
       Version: v0.5
       Playtesters: solo
Report: Had another shot at this and for the first time the
Japanese have won it. The tighter setup is creating more
opportunities for the sweeps. Also, the return of the Ki-27b
escort helps cover the Ann's a lot better. I stuck with the
same Allied strategy of the high squadrons going for the Betty's
and the lower squadrons coming up through dense cloud to
intercept the Ann's. So this still feels like two engagements
which is what I liked about the scenario in the first place.
The Allies got about 3 rounds where there was an uncontested
shot at a bomber. In the end, I think the dice were against
them as they only downed two bombers and a fighter and couldn't
cause the bombers to break up at all. They ended the game
with 4 stragglers scored which would have been worth 7 VP.
       Victory:
Allied scores: 2 bombers and 1 fighter for 5VP
Japanese scores: 8 fighters and exiting bombers worth 36VP=
       44VP
       44VP less 5 = 39 VP so JP win.
Feels like a JP decisive win as nearly all the bombers will
       reach the target.
Recommendations: This is a huge swing in the opposite
direction. But even if all the stragglers were losses for JP,
the Allies would still need another 12VP from somewhere to get a
draw. Perhaps needs another play, but wonder if this were to
       loosen things up a bit:
       Ki-30's in S5 and T5
       KI-21's in W8 and X8
       Ki-43 sweep back to S9
1st Sentai Wing Leader in Q8.

Scenario: O13 On a little street in Singapore
Version: v0.5....well, I've tested my v0.5+ with amended
       Japanese setup:
       Ki-30's in S5 and T5
       KI-21's in W8 and X8
       Ki-43 sweep back to S9
1st Sentai Wing Leader in Q8.
       Playtesters: solo
Report: A pure draw!!! 28VP, so even if you shaved off the +1
-1 either way and only allowed a +28 as a draw this is it! And
it feels like a draw too because the Allies got some early
successes on the Betty's but then were hunted down in the end
game. I changed Allied tactics here since the Ki-30's are
escorted and the 1st Sentai is not far away. I chose to put the
veteran and experte in H7 and he got a first turn tally against
the unfortunate Betty, and downed four of the bombers over two
turns with no interference from the Zero. The lower squadrons I
had vectored to locations C7 and E7 to confront the rest of the
Betty's. So they 'helicoptered' in altitude until getting into
battle as the Betty's approached. In the end, they were
ineffectual because 1st Sentai rushed forward to engage them.
The Zero flight was engaged by J11 flight (splitting) and they
broke each other after 2 turns. The remaining flight was
re-Vectored to go for the Ki-21's but he was hounded by the
escort and Ace sweep until all 4 aircraft were lost.
       Victory:
Allied scores: 4 bombers and 2 fighters for 10VP
Japanese scores: 8 fighters and exiting bombers worth 30VP=
       38VP
38VP less 10 = 28 VP which is an even fight for a draw.
With one bomber so broken it had to turn for home rather than
carry one having lost half the squadron, and with the Allies
losing a flock of fighters this felt like a certain draw
       situation.
Recommendations: I think the new setup is worth consideration.
In a lot of ways it is moving back to the original. With this
setup, I'd sign this off, but that's a little cheeky until you
       comment on it Lee!

       v0.6
       Player: Elias Nordling (Solo)
This was fun, and played like the description on the can as all
three bomber groups were attacked, though the Front group
       suffered the worst.
T1: No tallies. Base score 36.
T2: One Buffalo flight attacks head-on. One bomber shot down and
       disrupted. Score now at 31.
T3: Other Buffalo flight engages escorts so first fligt can stay
on the bombers. Dutch buffaloes tally second bomber. and engage
in climb. Top buffalo attacks rear bomber formation, pursued by
Ki27 flight. Disrupted bombers broken. 1 Dutch Buffalo shot
down. Topmost Buffalo gets locked up in dogfight.
       Score now at 30.
T4: Despite numerical superiority and because of poor tally
rolls, the Japanese have trouble marking all buffalos. The
Ki30:s also get engaged. 3 more attacks on bombers, 2
unprotected by defending fighters. No less than 3 G4M1 shot
down, aginst 2 Buffalos. 1 Buffalo Sq breaks.
       Score: 26
T5: Japanese tally everywhere. Time to bug out, but the Allied
VP margin is slim. Broken squadron goes into clouds pursued by
Ki27 flight. Squadron in dogfight breaks and goes into dense
clouds, tactic I hadn't used before. The Allies manage to get 3
more bomber attacks. 2G4M1, 1Ki30, for 1 Buffalo. Now they are
       REALLY ahead!
       Score: 19
T6-7: Allies run away across the board. Japanese luck returns in
combat rolls in pursuit. 4 Buffalos lost in pursuit to two 11
       rolls.
       Final score:
Japanese: Exit bombers 31. 7 Allied Fighters: 38
       Allied: 1 Ki30, 6 G4M1, 2 fighters: 16
       Total: 22
       Allied victory
       Felt like Allied victory
       Attacks on bombers: 10
Comment: It felt like luck on the Allied side, but not enough to
make it an outlier. Notably, the Allies rolled fewer bomber
cohesion hits than expected given the bomber losses. The clouds
       make for some interesting tactics!
I like this one as it is and wouldn't change either the setup or
the score. Looks like Kevin did a great job with his playtesting
adjustments here. Still, I'll do another playthrough to get a
better sense of the expected scoring and to see if I'll discover
anything unexpected before I sign this one off.

       V0.6
       Player: Elias Nordling (solo)
This was a clear Japanese victory. It didn't feel like an
outlier either, but the luck definitely was with the Japanese on
the tally and cohesion rolls. At least one bomber should have
been disrupted on average, and the Dutch should have headed for
the clouds on turn 5, but they had already lost on points by
then so the choose to stick around hoping for freak luck. So the
score could have ended slightly less in the Japanese favour but
would still have been a clear win.
T1: No tallies. Base score 36.
T2: 1 attack on front G4M1, defended by Zeros. 1 bomber downed
       for no loss: Score 34
T3: 3 attacks on bombers, 1 undefended. One buffalo gets really
unlucky in its attack against undefended bomber, taking 1 loss
and breaking. 1 G4M1 shot down. for 2 Buffalos. Score 34.
T4: Successful escort reactions leave few attacks on bombers. 2
Buffaloes lost. All but 1 buffalo flight stuck in dogfight or
       broken.
       Score 36.
T5-6: Lots of Buffaloes lost in pursuit, before they all escape.
       Score:
       Japanese exit 36, 10 Buffaloes: 46
       Allies: 2 bombers: 4
       Total 42
       Massive Japanese victory
       Felt like one
       Attacks on bombers: 6
Comment: I'll happily sign this off now, having seen one Allied
       and one Japanese victory.

As mentioned in the discussion on the countermix, my inability
to supply flight counters for the Ki-27s in this scenario means
I should forbid the Ki-27 wing from splitting any of its
       squadrons.
