Turn 1 – Movement Phase
There are no dogfights, so escorts move first. Squadron J moves
forward 2 spaces.
Next, the bombers move. The raider player opts to move squadron
S first moving it forward 2 spaces
(from H2 to J2), which triggers British squadron G to move
immediately after, since it has a tally on the
bombers [6.1.2, 7.2.3]. Squadron G declares it is diving to get
a +1 MP diving bonus [8.2], moves
forward 3 spaces to H5 and then rotates down 45 degrees before
moving into I4 (4 MP used total).
Squadron G is marked with a Dive marker [8.5]. Next, the German
player moves squadron T forward 2
spaces (from G2 to I2) triggering squadron H’s movement.
Squadron H rotates up 45 degrees before
climbing up into E3 (1 MP) then rotates back 45 degrees back to
level flight and flies two spaces forward
to G3 (2 MP). Squadon H is marked with a Climb marker.
Bold text doesn’t seem to match the red arrow in the follow on
diagram.

Pete, sorry I haven't had a chance to get my head down on this
and go through, yet. Please don't let that stop you from forging
ahead. once you've done Turn 3, we can stop to examine the piece
as a whole.

Pete, I've just had a look through this and all my thoughts so
far are small, mostly issues at the level of typos and suchlike,
that I can deal with at the layout stage. This is excellent
stuff! I really appreciate the effort that's gone into this.
I'm going to post your .docx file to CSW to get wider comment.
How is work on the third and final game turn proceeding?

Pete, we've had the first bit of feedback on CSW:
The example of play looks good! Two minor nits, at the
top of page 3, it says that Squadron A attempts to tally
Squadron D above it in M4, but I believe that Squadron D is in
K4 at that point, not having moved yet. Also, under Turn
2-Combat Phase, second paragraph, fourth line it says "(speed of
turn)" and I believe this should say "(speed or turn)"
Also, in a future example, I would like to see a friendly
fighter dive into a square with an enemy bomber that it has
tallied, and then an enemy fighter with a tally on the friendly
fighter dives into the same square, with a step through of
movement and combat.
Great! I am on vacation through next week so I will finish it up
and correct errors when I get back.

Hi Pete,
I'm sorry if I've been uncommunicative, but I've been buried and
my lack of bandwidth has made me appear very terse.
Where do you think we are on getting the final turn of the EoP?
Are there any questions we need to resolve before you start on
your videos?

Got a few more hours done on it. Just posted an updated version
to root directory of dropbox folder. Hope to finish this out
soon. There is a lot to think about and I keep finding things
that I'm forgetting about. Simple things like changing an escort
tasking to a sweep tasking at the conclusion of a combat :P
My copies of 2nd Edition update kit and Eagles arrive Thursday
:) Looking forward to posting some videos.
Pete

That looks cool. You've finished almost to the end of Turn 3,
which IIRC was where we were going to end it? So I'm guessing it
just requires reviews and revisions, or is there any more?
