That applies only to a sweep flight. An intercept flight
continues towards its vector marker.

Absolutely. Which is one reason it is a tricky rule to grasp.

Lee, I posted a .docx file in the root playtest dropbox folder
that has my example of play so far. It's slow going and I know
my writing style tends to change over days of writing. Could you
look at it and at least give me some pointers as far as how the
plot-line of the example is developing. With a word document it
should be easy to collaborate and edit it as a team if anyone
spots errors.

Pete, I have to apologise. I've been so under the cosh that I
haven't yet been able to review this. Keep bugging me about it
until I get to it!

Pete, I'll be getting to your .docx sample in the next couple of
days. Will it be okay if I perform an edit with Track Changes
turned on? That might be the easiest way for you to get a grasp
on my intentions. Though I'll try to annotate as best I can as i
go along.

Pete, I just uploaded an edit of your example of play. Overall I
think it was great and I look forward to more. I've annotated
the document, but I have a couple of quick thoughts:
(a) We should avoid the kind of text where the player
contemplates a thing and decides against it, possibly because
the math makes it certain it will fail. It's generally better to
have them DO a thing and then we contrive it to succeed or fail.
So it may be better to start the Bf 109s one column closer to
everyone and have them fail low-odds rolls, than present a
situation where they have no chance and auto-fail.
(b) There were a couple of points where squadrons moved 2 MP in
the Sun arc but you wrote that they had not and so needed to fly
an extra circling MP. You need to re-check the Sun arcs from
those bombers.
Other than that, I think this is a generally good direction to
go in. Look forward to the rest, including a combat or two.
How far do you want to take this example? Up to a third turn?

Hey Lee,
Thanks for the feedback and for the edited document. Yes I agree
with your observations, thanks for pointing them out. I am
planning to work more on it today. Not sure yet how far I'll
take the example of play.
