So here is the current status of the Origins test. The rate of
feedback dropped a little this last week, but that’s only to be
expected. I hadn’t anticipated how much test the first four
weeks had generated, so it’s about time it settled down to a
       more even pace.
       [attachimg=1]
Like last week, I’d like people to shift away from the scenarios
in Green towards those in the red. The first tests on the
scenario are in some ways debugging tests, as it’s hard to
assess balance in the first few plays. But that’s vital work.
If a scenario has had a couple of tests, coming to it with fresh
eyes is important, because hopefully the scenario is debugged of
serious issues at this point and we can get down to evaluating
       strategies and balance.
So my advice is to pick some scenarios in the red and either do
one or two first tests on them or be the second man in for a
fresh perspective on something that has already been tested.

End, Week 5. So here is the current status of the Origins test.
After the early sprint we're starting to settle down into a
steady pace. We passed the 100 plays mark this week.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. I know i don't
always respond to every AAR, but I pay close attention, and ever
play is useful data for balancing and tweaking.
       [attachimg=1]
I have asked Elias and Gordon/Andrew to do some follow-up work
on some of the Poor and Okay scenarios that have had some test,
but are not yet Good. Now that these scenarios have had an
iteration or two I'm hoping they can help assess the current
state of them and put the polish on.
I'd still like the rest of you to focus on scenarios that are
still in Red and Orange states, to try and get those vital early
plays in that help us get the range on these scenarios and get
       through those critical early iterations.

Hi Lee, just to let you know I'll be back to testing individual
scenarios soon. Had been distracted doing the day job, testing
       some software!
Should the Malta Spitfires Campaign be on the test report?
       Thanks!

No, I think that's a very different thing. The scenario test
tracker is really more an indicator of where we have put effort
and what still needs effort. The campaign doesn't need to be
       tracked in the same way.

End, Week 6. After the initial sprint, testing settle down to a
more sustainable pace this week. I think we should be getting
something like 7 or 8 plays a week for the rest of the project,
which means we should be starting to sign off all the scenarios
around the summer time, maybe in June or after.
       [attachimg=1]
Playtest Direction. We’ve performed at least one test on 21 of
26 scenarios—around 80%. Still, there are five scenarios
       untested.
I’d like testing from henceforth to be a little more directed. I
want to continue with the veteran testers focussing on those
scenarios that have had an iteration or two but need finishing,
such as Wuhan Clan, Flying Fish, Less Trucks More Balls,
Supermosca and Bombers First. It would be good to get these to a
       signoff state.
If the rest of you could focus on those scenarios still in the
red (particularly those on 0 plays) that would be great. I’m
sure Petr is desperate to see his Czech scenarios played!

If you draw the aircraft, I look forward to play with them ;D

End, Week 7. We logged a respectable number of tests this past
week and are starting to get plays on a number of unplayed
scenarios. As expected, O17 may need a bit of work before it’s
       fully-functional.

End, Week 8. We logged a good number of tests this past week
(15!). There’s been no movement on the three as-yet unplayed
scenarios. Playtest direction is the same as last week.

Hey Lee. I actually have 2 tests completed and documented for
O25 The Great Raid and 3 for O01 Shall We Cancel the Party
       (played with Elias).
       Thanks,
       Pete
