AberdeenCon?

So, when Gordon was round at the weekend, we found it useful to
sit down and power through a scenario, kicking it into shape. It
allowed really rapid iteration and a deep conversation on
strategies.
Now, I'm hoping that we will start on testing Wing Leader:
Origins at the beginning of next year. An idea that Gordon
floated was to have a get-together at his home in Aberdeen next
year to take whatever problem-child scenarios we've identified
by then and give them the deep treatment.
Of course, hopefully Andrew would be on hand, and Gordon
suggested and Elias and I both come to stay, maybe for a long
weekend so that we can get, say, a couple of days of intensive
testing in.
No idea when this might be (next summer, maybe?), but any
thoughts? ;D

Is there good cold beer in Aberdeen? [emoji1]
But seriously, I’d love to come. Probably couldn’t get off work
though. And maybe I shouldn’t assume Yanks are invited.

Next summer you say? Maybe July? I know I’m off in July. So
maybe just maybe. It’d be great to meet everyone. Also want to
get to Cambridge to the air museum. Hmmm, possibilities. Have to
ask the wife.

I think a lot depends on how much space Gordon has to put people
up. We were viewing this as getting a handful of core folks
together, who were within relatively easy reach of Aberdeen, to
do some intensive testing and make rapid iterations.
If you ever get over and are around Cambridge way, let me know.
I'll be happy to take you to Duxford. Still the best air museum
I know, and yes, I've been to Wright-Patterson multiple times!

I'm really trying to avoid unnecessary flying, and I'm not sure
I could justify this one. Also, the train from Stockholm to
Aberdeen seems to be 36 hours, one way.
I always feel like a sourpuss party-pooper when I bring this up
:-(
