Yeah, After i thought about it more I realized it would sort of
mess with the whole flow of the campaign rather than accentuate
       it.

As Lee says I did try to work out ways to incorporate the USN
raids (& possibly the Japanese counterattacks) into the campaign
but it would have become very complicated & we have standalone
scenarios for these already. The carriers were only committed on
Nov 5th because 5th AF was spent & couldn't generate the
sorties. Depending on how the campaign unfolds that may (...or
       may not) be the case.
As for targeting the port there were only two raids in the
campaign period-the minimally escorted B-24 raid in late October
where the weather stripped the escort & the Bloody Tuesday raid
which encountered the Japanese cruiser/ destroyer group
returning from the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay. I haven't
chased down all the relevant IJN TROMs for the period but I
doubt there was a lot of Japanese shipping at Rabaul prior to
the Bougainville landings (John Prados Islands of Destiny is
good on just how weak the 8th Area Fleet at Rabaul was during
this period). Omori's cruisers had just arrived after escorting
a convoy when they sortied against the Bougainville landings.
Long story short-I don't think there was much gain for 5th AF
attacking the port prior to the landings & the focus was on the
airfields. Once the landings had gone in & Japanese
reinforcements had arrived the story was different...
       Cheers
       Gordon

I forgot to note that on October 28th I attempted to fly a Heavy
Bomber raid but I rolled a “raid aborts” result on the Poor
       Weather table.

Was that improving or degrading weather?

       Improving
So far the weather has moved one space clockwise each day.

It looks like I may not get in a play until NEXT Friday, though
I will try to get it done during the week if possible. If the
Weather plays as expected then I am guessing there will be three
more missions. What kind of feedback do you want me to focus on?
Comparisons with the previous campaigns? Thoughts about why I
made the decisions I did? I read that you are wrapping up Eagles
so I want to make sure I am getting you useful info.

The most interesting things to me are:
       (1) The decision-making at the different stages. Why did you
make the calls you did, particularly on selection of raid types
(heavy/mediums, etc.) and your behaviour in marginal weather
       (why risk it?)
       (2) Your behaviour in the end game. Things largely chug along in
the mid stages, but suddenly change in the last handful of
missions. How did you respond top that change? Were you prepared
for it? Would you have changed earlier strategy had you
       comprehended the changes?

       Ok
Great. Exactly what I needed to know.
I am second guessing flying the Heavy raid on the good weather
day (10/30). Problem is that there will be no escorts for two
days (Oct 30/31). Then after flying a raid with escorts I can
probably assume that I will be without escorts again. Of course
the weather resets but I’m still not sure I can get in more than
       one more escorted raid.
Going to go back over everything and make sure I’m thinking
       correctly about all this.

Interesting. Is the lack of escorts because you overcooked
things? Would you have been better off dropping rather than
flying one of the raids? or is it all down to losses?

The losses have been very high for both sides fighters, but of
course the Japanese can absorb way more.( In this way your model
is working really well: the experte do most of the killing.) The
Japanese have been concentrating on downing fighters for the
very purpose of breaking the backs of the Fifth AF ability to
       provide escorts.
