ADCs

I notice the Me210 has speed brakes. Speed Brakes don't really
add anything to fighter type aircraft so I'm not sure it needs
to be listed.

Good catch. I've made the change.

I'm been making a number of changes to the ADCs recently, mostly
to do with revising protection values on some aircraft. Mostly
these are tweaks, but note that the Fairey Battle gets its
protection revised from 3 to 4 under this scheme.
I've also been looking at the heavy guns on the Ki-44-IIb, which
is a concern for the Things to Come scenario in Eagles. I think
the new form of the Heavy Guns rule suits this well. Having
looked at the Ho-301 autocannon, it's clear that it acts like a
heavy gun but lacks the long range capability. So I'm awarding
the Ki-44-IIb a Heavy Gun 4, but with a note preventing it being
used in standoff attacks.

The ADC for the Ju87D says it has Gun Pod ability. Shouldn't it
be AT Pod ability, or am I confused about heavy guns again?

No. I think you may be correct.

Okay, I have a general plan to update the publicly released ADCs
soon. It's been around 3 months since the last public update,
and there's been a gazillion teeny tweaks to the ADCs since
then.
So I have just posted a full set of new ADCs to the dropbox. I'm
putting these out there for review by you guys, to try and catch
any problems, errors or queries before I go public with these.
So please download these and use them.
Note that there are some brand new ADCs on the unpublished late
war cards, including the F8F Bearcat, the Manchester, Stirling
and Halifax.
If there's any requests for new cards for the public release,
now is the time to ask for them.

My Polish contact reprimands me for getting names wrong. The
Polish fighter should indeed be listed as the P.11. However, the
bombers are different and should be written PZL P.37, and so on.

Does anyone have any feedback on the ADCs before I put them up
publicly?

Okay, I have just updated the Eagles ADCs and the Unpublished
Early War ADCs on Dropbox.
The unpublished cards have some minor changes to the Polish
bomber designations, as I'd gotten this wrong.
The Eagles card has a single change that i've been meaning to
implement for a while: the refocussing of the SAAB B 17 from the
B 17B to the B 17A. This is in part because the non-dive bombing
variant is the main variant of the aircraft, and I want to focus
the Denmark bombing scenario on the benefits of the Wilkensson
sight, which delivers dive bombing accuracy through shallower
dives from a higher altitude.

So, two issues before us, both related to protection:
(a) I'm thinking of increasing the Hs 129 Protection from 5 to
5-6. My thoughts on this are that the Hs 129 has armour
equivalent to that on the IL-2 but has the benefits of two
engines. It should have an advantage over the IL-2. Also this
might reduce some of the Hs 129 massacres we have seen in the
Kuban scenario and Schlachtflieger.
(b) I'm thinking of reducing Protection for the He 177. We
haven't really addressed coupled-engined planes before, but
devising the ADC for the Avro Manchester got me thinking that we
should not be rating them the same as four-engined heavies. I'm
a bit leery about making them the same as twin-engined aircraft:
a 4-5, but maybe something in-between, like a 5.
Any thoughts?
